O see I may have asked in the wrong spot what this item weighs. What is it's wattage pull? How the microwave works and why it looks identical to another KitchenAid toaster oven that's stainless but with identical descriptions on Overstock today? This is very confusing. We need to know the weight and wattage no matter on both. Thankyou.
This refurbished toaster oven is a great deal. I like to use this in lieu of my full-size oven a lot, as I'm only cooking for one. Some foods are so much better in the oven than the microwave, and this little toaster oven is convenient and fast. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's nicely made and does a great job of toasting, baking, and re-heating. Very pleased with it....

I admitt, I had to send this back. Not because it was faulty but because it was pretty big in size. I did take the measurements but it is BIG. you could use this oven and never use your built in or stove oven.Read More

I didn't even take it out of the plastic; I was already disappointed. Does it not appear to have a black top in the picture?! It certainly does to me! Well, the top is stainless. I wanted black, overall. Not 50-50. The next thing I noticed was that the bottom knob was broken off! Really?! Replace the knob, THEN sell it to me. I couldn't even pop it on just for the sake of putting it back together. I also noticed that the bottom-right corner of the stainless "frame" around the glass door was lifting up a bit, and I can see fabric (or flesh.. ) getting caught on that at times. And it wasn't 100% clean, either (maybe 98-99%), which is the EASIEST thing to do to refurbish an item. On the plus side -- what kept me from giving it one star -- it IS a good size oven, from what I could tell. For me, it most certainly wouldn't have been too big. While I didn't examine each in turn, I did like that it came with several different racks. Options and extras are always a plus. Overall, I think it has a very classy style. I also thought the idea of having the handles on the sides was cool. The few times you need to pick it up and move it (like when cleaning the counters underneath), that would come in handy. Despite the plusses, I just can't say I'd recommend it. I expected better. $50 isn't top-of-the-line, but it also isn't cheap. Sigh. Back to the drawing board...Read More

Top 5 Types of Cooktops
A cooktop is one of the most frequently used and essential appliances in the kitchen. Different from traditional stoves, cooktops are independent cooking devices, separate from traditional ranges and ovens. Cooktops can be installed into kitchen islands or over built-in ovens -- anywhere there's space and power available to do so -- and are designed to integrate into kitchen countertops for a contemporary look.
Top 10 Small Appliances
Appliances make life easier. Nowhere is this more evident than in the kitchen, where large and small appliances save people time and effort every single day. Although large appliances, such as refrigerators, ovens and dishwashers, are crucial to a functional kitchen, small appliances bring a diversity of conveniences to your kitchen. No kitchen should be without these top 10 small appliances.
How to Install a Built-in Microwave
Microwaves are a kitchen staple. They offer convenience, no residual heat from cooking and, when compared with an oven or range, efficiency. With so much going for them, it's no surprise microwaves are so popular. If there was ever a drawback to having a microwave oven in the kitchen, it was that the appliance claimed too much valuable countertop real estate. But ever since microwave ovens were made to be installed over the range, that dilemma has ceased to exist. Installing a built-in microwave is really not that difficult, but what many people don't realize is that they need a dedicated 20-amp circuit installed in the cabinet directly above the microwave oven for the installation to be up to code. If you're not comfortable running your own circuit, hire a qualified electrician for the job. Once you have the circuit installed, you can then install a built-in microwave.
Tips on Gas Cooktops
Many kitchens feature gas ranges for cooking that combine both burners and an oven in one unit. Recently, separate gas cooktops have risen in popularity because they fit into a countertop while allowing storage cupboard space underneath. Gas cooktops are especially popular with chefs because they allow more precise control over temperature and cooking time.
How to Replace a Kitchen Countertop
Replacing a kitchen countertop is an easy home improvement that not only updates the look of a kitchen, but also adds value to the house. Many kitchen countertops come in standard sizes with a pre-cut hole for the sink, which allows you to simply remove the existing countertop and fit the new one before reattaching the sink. Kitchen countertops come in a variety of designs and materials, from the economical laminate to more expensive and durable granite or marble.
How to Install a Gas Oven Range
As long as your new gas oven range is similar in size and configuration to your old gas oven range, installation is a relatively easy do-it-yourself project. If your new gas range and oven differs significantly from your old one, you might consider hiring a professional to do the installation for you. Always follow the manufacturer's installation instructions that come with your new kitchen appliance.
How to Install an Electric Oven Range
Whether you purchase an updated electric oven range to replace an older, worn-out model or to simply enhance the look of your kitchen, installing an electric oven range is a fairly simple task that you can complete in just a couple of hours. As long as you are just swapping a similar range and oven, there is no need to pay extra money for professional installation.
How to Cut a Hole in a Countertop for Your Kitchen Sink
Updating the countertop with a new kitchen sink in your kitchen can give the room some new life. Installing a new kitchen sink requires cutting a hole in the countertop and fitting the sink into position. A jigsaw is sufficient for cutting a laminate countertop, but if you own a solid-surface countertop, you will use a router to make the cuts. With a little attention to detail and safety, you can cut the hole yourself by following a few simple steps.
Best Types of Tile for Kitchen Countertops
Tile kitchen countertops are an affordable alternative to traditional solid stone units. Countertop tile can be made from many of the most popular materials, such as granite or quartz, yet costs just a fraction of the price. Tile countertops are also easy to install and repair, making them the perfect project for the DIY homeowner. Shop Tiles ▸ Ceramic.Ceramic tile is made from natural clay that is baked to remove excess moisture. It is available in a wide variety of colors and designs that can be mixed and matched to any kitchen. Ceramic tile is affordable, easy to install and very low maintenance. It is also waterproof and able to withstand high temperatures from hot dishes. If you choose ceramic tile for your kitchen countertops, you should be aware that ceramic tile can crack or chip if heavy objects are dropped on it. To minimize grout stains, you can choose a dark grout and use a grout sealer to protect the seams from dirt. Mosaic.Mosaic tile comes in tiny 1-inch square units. It is often sold in large sheets that are attached to a mesh backer-board, making for easy and fast installation. These tiles can be mixed to create unique patterns and textures, and are very durable. One advantage of mosaic tiles is that they are colored all the way through, so a chip or crack will not be as visible as with ceramic tile. Granite.Granite tile is a natural stone product that is widely popular in kitchen decor. Tiles made from granite offer the beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. Granite tiles often have a mottled surface that helps to hide dirt and fingerprints and are incredibly strong and long-lasting. Like all granite products, these tiles must be sealed after installation and at least once a year for the duration of their use. Quartz.Quartz tile is a manufactured product designed to look similar to granite while offering superior performance. It is made from crushed quartz crystals pressed together with resin. Quartz tile has a smooth and uniform surface with a consistent grain. It is slightly less expensive than granite and is much more durable and long-lasting. Unlike granite, quartz tiles do not need to be sealed. They are completely nonporous, which prevents bacteria from becoming trapped in the surface. Quartz cannot be repaired as easily as granite, however, and it offers none of the natural beauty and color variation of real stone. Shop Tiles See All Guides
