I make fanastic smoothies with this every morning using lots of frozen fruit, protein powder etc. THe ice crush feature makes it a snap. It has a nice roomy jar so I can make enough for two men and myself with no problems. It is easy to clean, in fact you can put it into the dishwasher.I have tried out and warn out several blenders over the past year, this one seems to be the best so far.

This is my second KitchenAid Blender that I have owned. My other lasted 9 years. The blender I just purchased has a more advanced engineering for the blending between the motor and the container that holds the food...because of that I see this blender lasting longer that 9 years. The food container has a great mess free spout to help allows for easy removal of the processed food into a glass, bowl, cup, etc. The looks of the blender are great and the 5 speed options are more than needed to get the job done. I've used it for making protein and fruit shakes and looking forward to mixing a few margarita's this summer.

I did a lot of research before I decided on the KSB580NK. This product is EXACTLY what I was looking for and a very fair price. I recommend it highly. I also recommend Overstock.com as the buying source. A terrific transaction.

I needed a powerful machine that would handle making green smoothies and fruit drinks. I didn't want to pay the high prices of some other machines, but needed something that worked. I love the look of this KitchenAid and how it performs. I use it everyday. The machine blends fresh apples, frozen berries, greens, frozen bananas, nuts, dates, etc. very well. The motor has a feature that starts out slowly, then goes to full power. The only thing that I wasn't sure if I would get used to is the noise level. It isn't terrible, but it was quite a shock the first time I turned it on. But then noise levels are tolerated differently by each individual. Definitely a great machine overall.

This blender is everything I wanted and more. It is powerful, durable and works better than I expected. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an all-in-one appliance!

Most powerful blender we've had - practically shaves ice in seconds and dosen't bog down when making thick protein shakes. Had a cuisinart before that lasted less than a year and just didn't have that power that this one does. Love the lightweight acrylic canister too.

Money well spent! If I had bought this first I would not have had to buy a new one every few years! The one piece container makes clean-up a breeze.

I'm writing this review after using this blender on a regular basis for about 10 months. I plan to send it back under the 1 year warranty. It is now smelling like burning plastic every time I use it. Overall, it has done a great job and is very powerful, but the burning smell is concerning. Could just be a defective one.

I read someone else's review first. so I knew it was the blender I wanted to make my green smoothies. It's like a tornado when it blends, SO happy with it, I used it everyday.

So far this blender is performing up to expectations. It is noisy like some said, but powerful and efficient; that's all I care about!
