Excellent attachment for the KitchenAid mixer. Well built - will last a long time. Easy to attach to the mixer and easy to use. The assortment of cutters is nice to have - allows for a wonderful variety of pastas. I look forward to using it more !!!

The Kitchenaide pasta attachments are made in Italy of the very highest quality stainless steel. Where would they know better how to make the very best in pasta makers than in Italy! They will make just about anything you would want to make in pasta. I bought this as a gift for my husband and he is thrilled. Before using the first time, he thoroughly read the very well written manuals and watched videos on the Kitchenaide site and on you-tube of people actually using the mixer to make the dough and the attachments to make the pasta, explaining as they go along. The videos are very helpful. The attachment attach very easily to the kitchenaide mixer. Making the dough with the mixer and making the pasta with the attachments is really quite easy...and fun! Once you have tasted the homemade pasta you will never go back to the boxed stuff! Maybe you are wondering why I didn't purchase a stand-alone pasta maker that extrudes the dough. We have had two of them in the past. Each broke down after a little over a year. I think they are underpowered and break down and the dye-heads that form the pasta are easily broken with the force of the pasta extruded through them.. My experience with stand-alone machines is they are not built to last. Mine both died just after their warranty expired. I feel that my kitchenaide mixer is very powerful and and more than capable of handling the job of making pasta. These attachments are built to last.
