overall I think it's a decent product I've made a ton of ice cream since buying it, and they've all turned out great..the only downfall I would say to this product, is you can only make small batches at a time, and the attachment itself you figure they would have designed something that didn't look and feel so cheap. As far as the other review, I've never had an ice cream not turn out, and if it can't freeze in the freezer either obviously you didn't make the batter right.

I have wanted one of these for about a year and was waiting to find a good price. This was excellent & I bought it with Christmas money. I find that if you follow the instructions it works GREAT! I read other feedback and a couple that said it didn't work, but I followed the directions carefully and find the product an EXCELLENT purchase. I'm very happy to find this. Our family loves ice cream and I have been concerned about the additives in commercial ice cream. This allows us to know what is in our food and I'm thrilled about NOT eating the dangerous preservatives.

I'm glad I bought this unit, it's great for a small amount of ice cream and works faster than my full-sized unit. It's very important not to add solid ingredients till the end of the cycle, though.

The key is to have the bowl in the freezer and ready to use on a whim. There are lots of recipes to choose from that allow you to use some basic ingredients that you might have on hand. If you want fancier recipes just buy them and know that ice cream is about 30 minutes away. I didn't have enough cocoa powder on hand since I usually use only small quantities. So I grated some chocolate that I had and it worked great. It also makes quite a bit of ice cream. There was plenty to go around with left overs for later. Worth the price. I am returning or re-gifting my giant ice cream maker that I never have had the desire to even take out of the box and deal with all the ice and rock salt.

It a little hard to have to clear out an entire rack of the freezer but it works fine once it is super cooled I wish the recipies had sugar free and non dariy suggestions

This works really well. We've made several batches of ice cream without any problems. You will want to make sure you mix all your ingredients BEFORE you put them in the bowl, though, or they will begin freezing immediately, and the dasher won't turn properly.

I keep mine in the freezer compartment of my fridge so it is ready at all times. It makes plenty for 2 people to last a week, depending on your appetite. Probably one sitting for a larger family. I like it when it is just out made, like a soft serve. Still trying out recipes , and the fact I control what goes in is big for me , a diabetic. Especially love making it with canned coconut milk !

Purchased the attachement for my spouse for xmas. She had no previous experience with making ice cream. She has used the attachment 2x and loves it. Her first batch of ice cream was really good, even though it was plain vanilla. She just made a batch of lemon ice cream which I loved. There are a lot of recipes online and she loves having the ability to customize the recipe to match her taste. The process can be lengthy as the freeze bowl needs 15 hours in the freezer before use, but the mixing process is straight forward. I would definitely recommend this product.
