overall I think it's a decent product I've made a ton of ice cream since buying it, and they've all turned out great..the only downfall I would say to this product, is you can only make small batches at a time, and the attachment itself you figure they would have designed something that didn't look and feel so cheap. As far as the other review, I've never had an ice cream not turn out, and if it can't freeze in the freezer either obviously you didn't make the batter right.

I'm glad I bought this unit, it's great for a small amount of ice cream and works faster than my full-sized unit. It's very important not to add solid ingredients till the end of the cycle, though.

I have this attachment. I have used it many many times and think it works great.

I have wanted one of these for about a year and was waiting to find a good price. This was excellent & I bought it with Christmas money. I find that if you follow the instructions it works GREAT! I read other feedback and a couple that said it didn't work, but I followed the directions carefully and find the product an EXCELLENT purchase. I'm very happy to find this. Our family loves ice cream and I have been concerned about the additives in commercial ice cream. This allows us to know what is in our food and I'm thrilled about NOT eating the dangerous preservatives.

I already have a Kitchen Aid ice cream maker, my Mum wanted one, so I bought her this one for her birthday and was very pleased (& relieved), it was authentic, original & packaged the same as mine which was purchased in a store (at a lot higher price too), so I was very pleased with the low price. I am a very happy customer!

I love this product! Its quick and easy to use and clean. I would recommend this to anyone. with a few things from my kitchen I can whip up a batter that I can throw in the mixer right after I serve dinner and 20mins later homemade delicious desert for the whole family.

My son loves to cook with his family! I bought them the Kitchen aid mixer for Christmas 2 years ago. WHile at their house this past Christmas we saw the add for the ice cream attachment so I knew I would get that for his birthday! They love it!

This item was returned. too complicated to use and didn't make enough ice cream for the time required.

warning to Australian buyers it dose not fit our kitchenaides. site says fits all kitchenaide upright mixes this is not so.I have waisted my money as postage is so high not worth return post.Very disappointed

This attachment made excellent ice cream very quickly and efficiently. It is a wonderful addition to the mixer. Be sure to freeze it for the required 15 hours before trying to make ice cream. This is a totally necessary step. i store mine in the freezer to be ready for dessert at any time. We are looking forward to a batch of sorbet and gelato.

there is only one problem and that was the connection withe mixer and the problem of getting the batter in the bowl to start the process also just a slight problem to know when it is done mostly it is so easy and fun at the same time clean up is just a slight problem but not bad

I was really disappointed in this attachment to my existing mixer. It is difficult to attach to the mixer and the only product I have ever bought from Overstock that I would love to return! I tried making butter pecan ice cream and followed directions - but it has been in the freezer for a week and is still liquid! I had an ice cream maker before and it was much easier to use and made wonderful ice cream. I plan to replace this product with another independent ice cream maker and based on my dissatisfaction with this attachment I will not purchase any further attachments to the mixer.
