Works great! This KitchenAid food processor has been a real asset for me in my kitchen. I have MS and and it has become real difficult for me to use my hands like I us to, not to mention the dangers of using a knife. This processor came with so many extras there isn't much it can't do. I can now make my different doughs again like cookie dough, and home made pizza dough. I use the dough attachment frequently, the slicing and grating blades are also a nice feature. Thanks Overstock.com for making it affordable and easy for me to do my shopping once again!

Love to bake! Does okay job. Is a little tricky getting lid on until you get used to it. Small inner bowl is not really that helpful, can't use shedding discs with it and rim of large bowl gets dirty when you use it, so you have to was both.

This item has a 360 watts DC motor.

Everything in your home that requires electricity will have a range of wattages that are necessary for it to start (high wattage) and run smoothly for however long you will be using it (low wattage). You can look on line to find a list of wattages for home appliances from the low end (clock radio) to the high end (AC). The only thing I saw on that list that runs steadily at 1000 watts is the Air Conditioner. The clock radio runs all day and night at less than 30 watts. So I'm guessing that the food processor requires 1000 watts, more or less, to start or to pulse, but drops to 320 or so for stirring or blending. Hope that helps. I had fun researching the answer! :-)

Cuisinart pissed me off with my last purchase of one of their products. It arrived not working properly and Cuisinart was going to CHARGE ME to return it--not only that, the bread maker was a waste of money and I didn't want to spend one more dime to return it. So, as I told them no more Cuisinart products...ever! Also, I have a KitchenAid stand mixer that I've had for years and I love it. Kitchenaid makes quality products. So, I searched out the product from a company I trust and have had good results with. Also, my old Cuisinart food processor leaks and generally is a piece of crap...so, another reason to choose Kitchenaid. I also bought my daughter-in-law a KitchenAid stand mixer from Overstock for this Christmas...she will love it and really wanted one.

Does kitchen aid allow buyers to purchase replacement or additional parts separately online ? I need to be able to purchase an additional set of blades, cups and top for my food processor because I process meat foods and dairy foods on completely separate equipment.
