This coffeemaker makes terrible coffee. The design of the lid is really stupid. Although the site says it is made in America, it is not, IT IS MADE IN CHINA! Stay away from this coffeemaker!Read More
I wanted a thermal carafe coffee maker that wasn't too tall and would fit under my kitchen cabinets. This fits perfectly. It keeps the coffee warmer for much longer than the coffee maker I replaced. I also really like that it has a filter in the water well. It makes excellent coffee and looks very attractive. What more could you ask for? I make a lot of purchases with Overstock and I highly recommend them - best prices and A number one service!!Read More
I have looked for years for a coffeemaker that won't spill all over the counter when you pour a cup. Now-a-days all the carafes are so pointed or squared off the coffee has no where to go but out the sides. This pot is GREAT--no spill AND keeps it hot without the burner burning the bottom, so no bitter taste in the last cup! The lid was broken when I rec'd it, but KitchenAid sent a whole new carafe and lid and I am estatic with this! I HIGHLY recommend this pot to anyone!Read More
Never was able to determine how to set timer, very frustrating - would like to have someone let me know how to set timer as overall it is a good product, just not meeting my needs with no information on that.Read More
Was excited to get this out of the box...should have left it in! EXTREMELY difficult to program. I don't leave my coffee maker plugged in, as it is stored in pantry; therefore I thought just plugging it in and hitting 'brew' would work fine. WRONG!!! After brewing, the coffee maker will NOT stay warm, as you have to program in the length of time. Thus, programing is required EVERY time you use it! And this is difficult! Have been trying to brew a pot of coffee for almost 30 min. and program it to stay warm.....still unsuccessful. In addition, it is tall, takes up a lot of counter space, and the glass pot is difficult to clean. Will be boxing it up to return to store! Big mistake for the amount of money paid!Read More
This is hands down the worst coffee maker I have ever used. It is so cumbersome, weirdly designed and a pain in the butt. My boyfriend bought this because it was marked down and was the only one with a carafe that he could afford. What a total waste of money (and we are stuck with it since he threw the box away too quickly). Here are some of the many problems: -There is a huge lip on the lid of the pot so it is nearly impossible to get all of the coffee out. -The thing you put the coffee in has to be completely removed from the maker to fill it, but then it doesn't sit flat on the counter and rolls around while you put in the filter and grounds -The removable water tank is another two handed job to fill, -But the water tank comes off the back and the filter holder comes out the front - so you have to be able to access this thing from all sides to make a pot of coffee - it takes up a lot of real estate. - If you don't put the water tank on exactly right there is no easy way to know it, you just press start come back 10 minutes later and have to figure out why there is no coffee. -The pot is very hard to clean -It's an ergonomic nightmare -It produces rage among the barely awakeRead More
I was a little reluctant to purchase this coffee maker because of the negative comments here, but decided to take the chance. We are very pleased with it. Those who say the coffee is not hot enough must have a defective unit. Coffee stays hot for several hours in the thermal carafe, even without pre-warming it as suggested in the manual. The only thing I would suggest to improve this maker is to have an indicator light or message to show when it is finished brewing. The carafe pours very well. First one Iíve had in many years that did not drip or run down the side when pouring. Great product!Read More
This coffeepot was not a good purchase. In order to keep the coffee hot you must "pre heat" the thermal carafe. even with that extra step the coffee was not hot for more than 10 minutes.disappointed.I gave it to a friend's kid who is in college.Read More
