I've been searching for an affordable, yet durable, wide slot toaster. My kids love bagels and my husband prefers toast. This is perfect. The heating element is accurate, too. As the numbers increase the temperature does too. I can walk away and not worry about burning the bread at level 3, but be careful at level 6 and up. If you want the bread to toast quickly you must stand by and be ready to manually pop it up. It will burn at the higher levels before the automatic pop up feature kicks in.

A toaster is a toaster, I thought. But I've been using this one for some time now and the settings are spot on. No uneven or burned toast anymore. Looks nice on the counter, too.

We like KitchenAid products and this didn't dissapoint. The toaster is wonderful . The last one we had was hard plastic which cracked. The fact that this is metal is great. It does a wonderful job in toasting bagels and wide slices of bread.

Everything in the past that I have ordered from Overstock has been excellent. This toaster, I am sad to say, is not. I did a lot of research before choosing Kitchen Aid. For the most part all Internet reviewers were pleased with this product, except one person. It was my bad luck to have the same experience as the one criticism I read. It does not brown anything, no matter what number I use. It hardens and heats but everything is still white. I tried putting an English muffin in the microwave and the toaster produces the same as the microwave. I really like a light brown English muffin, not a white, tooth-breaking cement copy of a muffin. I do not have the capability of returning the item since I am home bound, elderly, and have no way to box it and stamp it and return it. So this one experience has been less--lots less--than happy. If I could afford to I would heave it out and go for the cheapest on the market. This appliance will just sit there looking handsome and being totally inadequate.

I thought this would be a good toaster but it barely toasts English Muffins on "9" setting and by pressing the "Bagel" button. Uneven toasting at best. Cinnamon Toast on "9" burned. Not happy with this purchase.

The toaster is good quality. Looks great. Toast both side pretty equal.

I always thought that all toasters were alike. Boy was I wrong. This is beautiful and well made and toasts perfectly. The features are wonderful. I especially like the one that keeps the bread warm.

Sturdily built and looks great. Toast is perfect on medium setting but will burn on higher settings. Heavy duty cord is nice. Easy to clean exterior and slide out crumb tray makes interior cleanup easy.
