LOVE IT
I've had mine for two years now and its the first thing people notice when they walk into my kitchen. The OLD SCHOOL QUALITY can't be beat. You know how people say things are not made as good as they use to be? WELL , let me tell you, KitchenAid still does. This product is to be some thing you hand down to your Kids and grand Kids and it will still work the same as if you just bought it. IF you know what OLD SCHOOL QUALITY used to be then GET THIS MIXER!!

2nd time a charm
First order had to go back due to silver rim had come off and could not move the speed switch. Second mixer had a defect in the red paint right up front, but I kept it. (reason for one less star) The glass bowl is so cool, but hard to attach to the base. I saw this at a kitchen store at xmas 09 and had to have this model. Really pretty.

Wonderful
It's wonderful. I love the glass bowl with the spout. That makes it easy to add ingredients and it cleans up quickly. The red color is beautiful!!

Kitchen Staple
Easy to use, quick and simple to clean up, powerful mixer. I've made cookie dough, irish soda bread, johnny cakes, cupcakes, whipped cream - and all have come together in this mixer beautifully. It does everything you ask of it, and looks good doing it. Taking the different beating attachments off and on is really simple, even with batter covered hands. It's a pretty hefty, I don't really move it around my kitchen - it stays in one place on the counter.

My second love
My husband and I chose this for my first anniversary present. I researched all the models KitchenAid sells and the glass bowl is what sold me on this edition. I love that I can see all the ingredients as it is mixing. The color is another plus. It is gorgeous! I have a red kitchen, so this mixer is a centerpiece now! I do a lot of baking for my family and so far this has made my life so much easier. Any Kitchenaid stand mixer is a must for baker. Breads, cakes and cookies are way faster now. I'm pretty sure this mixer may out live me (Im newly married young 20's) and for that the price is worth it. If you are thinking about it, BUY it, you will not be sorry. Looking forward to upcoming birthdays and holidays to recieve attachments for this mixer!
