  I just assembled this piece today. It is absolutely gorgeous. Assembly did take some time, but I am a single white female and I read and follow all the instructions. Thanks to the strategically placed wooden dowels, you couldnt assemble this piece incorrectly if you wanted to. I am very pleased with my purchase. The top did receive a bit of damage during shipping but I am going to contact them now about a replacement. This really was the freight carriers fault it appears.

  This kitchen island exceeded my expectations. I ordered the black one, and it is beautiful next to the butcher block top which has a tint of red in the grain. It compliments my cherry cabinets nicely.

  The instructions may have been revised - I found the items very easy to assemble. The chairs took about 10 minutes each and the island about two and 1/2 hours, including unpacking. I am very happy with the product.

  Excellent quality, very sturdy, worth the money! And you don't have to put it together, it comes in one piece.
