We purchased this kitchen cart for the same reason as most folks - for more storage and counter space. In that end, it delivers. The assembly took about an hour, but was relatively straightforward. The biggest disappointment is the shelf setup; the pins they provide to hold up the shelf are rounded, and the notch is square, so putting anything off weight on the shelf has the whole thing come down. We plan to go to a hardware store to find more appropriate pins for the shelf design. But overall it's a great looking piece of furniture and once the shelf is stable, it holds all our tupperware and other food storage pieces with room to spare.

product came in 3 packages. Easy to assemble. Every dowel pin and screw hole lined up perfect. 2 people assembled with ease. I was looking at a $3,000 kitchen island and could not be happier with this one at the wonderful price. Great piece for the money.

The instructions were not very well designed and there were a couple errors with numbers. Assembly took almost four hours with a couple minor breaks. Two of the shelves were not drilled for pin placement, so I had to drill and position as required. The plastic holders/pins for the adjustable shelves continually fell out and I will have to try and modify that due to the fear that they will not properIy hold items placed in them. I feel the price for this particular item is overpriced for the quality. If I were in a store to buy this item with it already assembled, I would not purchase the item.

The product fits perfectly in the space I have. The advertised dimensions were a Exactly as stated in the product description. We had it shipped to Australia a nd it arrived in a very timely manner. It was opened for customs reasons, the shelf pins went missing. Hubby made some from some screws, so saved the day! Wished it had come with butcher block oil, it really needed to be oiled.

The wood looks like scrap wood and is not not smooth on the front. The shelves wobble. You have to put it together with dowel pins. It also does not sit very stable. It looks nice in the picture but I would not buy it. I purchased two and I am returning one. I would have returned both but the first was already out of the box.

This piece of furniture is not worth the low price! The thin backboard is the support for the three other sides which is apparently why there are 24 screws included for attachment. Please do not attempt to move the cabinet by touching the top because the doors will fall right off! Very flimsy, poorly constructed, no paint in the door slides and worthless connecting pins for the heavy shelf. I do not recommend this product.

All in all a very good experience. good quality and quick service. Super easy to put up. virtually no assembly. just a couple of hinge pins. It came quickly and it was light enough for an old woman to handle and strong enough to hold dutch ovens and books.

I purchased the Nantucket Black Distressed-Finish Pantry for a small apartment that needed additional kitchen storage. The cabinet is large enough for pots, pans, bowls, kitchen "electrics" and has a convenient drawer for placemats and cooking utensils. The value of this pantry is excellent in comparison with other cabinets of similar size. The cabinet was delivered on the date promised; and (at a slow and relaxed pace including a coffee break) required approximately 2 1/2 hours to assemble. Assembly of the main cabinet joints is accomplished with a convenient metal-pin and circular-key construction; and all required pin & key holes were placed accurately by the factory. The four doors were easy to hang because the hinges were attached at the factory. The drawer is strong and functional. We are very pleased with this cabinet.

This is beautiful ! Looks great & is a serious piece of furniture ! Weighs a ton ! The butcher block top is a true 2" thick,! I have gotten so many complements. Took my husband about an hour to put togeather. He did complain about the lockpins not pulling it "all together" & said they should try another type of pin. He has put many pieces of furniture together in the past 3 mos. ( we just moved ) & says there are better types of lockpins. I am very pleased !!!

The pantry has given me a lot of extra storage space. I had the option of buying the real pine wood from Overstock or a MDF of the exact same product at another website and am so glad I chose the real wood - it can be painted should I change my color scheme. The shelf adjustment is rather limited and the bottom of the shelves aren't routed out where they sit on the pins so the shelves are unstable when empty, but other than than I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

I love this cart. It provides me with two extra cabinets and drawers for storage in my small kitchen, and another work surface. It arrived promptly and well packaged as to avoid scratches. It went together perfectly. All the pieces were there and the instructions were accurate as long as you look carefully. I had no problems with part 10 as some did. It took me a minute to figure out that the pins for the doors push in to get them into place, so you don't need to force them I thought I had a defective bolt and overstock sent me a new one within 2 days. It turned out i got mine to work after all and i didn't need it, but the service was great. i'm very happy with it.

I was very satisfied with my purchase of this cabnit. Solid wood, very easy to assemble with only a few tools needed. I did opt to get metal shelf support pins at my local Home Improvement store (cost under $3) to replace the plastic ones that came with the kit. I priced several cabnits at furniture stores that were not as well built and cost twice as much. Such a good buy I bought two more for towels and toiletries in the bathrooms.

This was one of the easiest pieces to put together that I have ever had. The end pieces just folded out, the shelves dropped down and latched and the only pieces we had to physically put together were the wine bottle holders. They just had one pin on the back and hooked in the front. The finish was a beautiful antiqued bronze and exactly as described. It is very sturdy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that it was a little shorter than I had thought it would be. It is definitely a great buy for the money. This was a housewarming gift for a friend and she absolutely loved it.

Had been considering this cabinet for weeks and finally purchased in the white. I consider myself an experienced furniture assembler who enjoys it and my home is crammed with "rustic" assembled pine furniture, so I discounted the remarks about "wobbliness" and other issues. Well, pride goes before a fall. While made of very soft, lower grade pine with plenty of filler, there seems to have been some care done in the design and assembly instructions. The hardware is various, the cams are strong but the additional screws strip easily. For the most part, holes were drilled correctly, more or less. I coped with 1) Big holes for the thin dowels were lavishly filled with wood glue, but at least all the holes were drilled deeply enough. 2) Re-drilled enlarged cam holes were off in 2 spots, so when the cams were tightened the wood split a bit, also glued 3) Off-drilled pilot holes for the doors - by deliberately forcing the screws I got the doors more or less straight, but the cheap hinge design doesn't allow for adjustment. In the future I may replace the hinges and the plastic shelf pins (I added 1 inch L brackets already top and bottom for more stability). 4) A knob pulled off immediately - there is a little metal collar in the knob to hold the screw, bu the pine is so soft it just pulls out - replaced with longer wood screw. When assembly was over, I had a headache, an eye twitch, and had to go lay down for a while. But, you get this together and it is just so gosh-darned cute, fit the space in my tiny kitchen perfectly, the 5-foot height is great as it fits under fixed shelving and you can put stuff on top, and it's real wood - now assembled I am very happy with it. With all the issues there are a lot of good things to say, like the pre-drilled holes in the pressboard back, the sides are not plywood, the holes were mostly drilled correctly and it went together square (no pounding with a rubber mallet), nice cream color, well-packed, good instructions, holds tall juice bottles etc., and the nice paneled doors. So I'd say purchase this with the reservation - have wood glue on hand, experience is useful, and so is having extra misc. hardware and tools. Definitely a rustic piece with a lot of charm when assembled - also fast ship from Overstock.

I found this to be very disappointing when it arrrived. One part was broken but since it was not weight bearing I simply repaired it instead of replacing it. It was missing a metal pin to hold up one of the shelves. I used something I already had here. It is incredibly, ridiculously difficult to put together with the sketchy directions. The top was the hardest to attach. The predrilled holes were not all drilled deep enough for a tight fit. Once it is all together however, it is really quite nice looking. It is white and not off-white which was fine with me. The top, for all its time and hassle, is very solid and good looking too.It is the perfect size for my kitchen and now that it is finally all put together, I am happy I ordered it.

Very nice useful size, smells like clean pine wood. Some of the wood dowel pins were to long but were easy to cut down with some shears or dikes, for this reason a dry run is recommended. Put this together alone (60yr female) had to use a chair to hold up one long side while putting together on the floor. This is a good size, hope to get another one it fits towels, sheets, canned food, dishes and even printer paper fits nicely. The Honey has a decent clear finish on it that could be painted to match any decor but is really pretty for now. Thanks "O" for the good price and fast shipping.

I looked all over the web for a kitchen cart to add extra storage and counter space to my kitchen. This item was the perfect solution. It fits nicely under the window and I am now storing large pots and casserole dishes on the lower shelf, onions/potatoes in a basket on one wire rack with my pot/pan lids on the other rack. The drawer holds several kitchen tools (rolling pins, immersion blender, etc.) while the speed rack has my most commonly used oils and spices as well as the kitchen towels and oven mitts. The work surface is large and versatile with the wood and marble surfaces meeting all of my prep needs. The 'chop and drop' system is a game changer and makes clean up so much easier. It took a few hours to put together but if you read through the instructions completely before starting and use the written instructions along with the diagrams it is pretty straight forward. This product has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with it.

This is something that I could ordinarily put together in an hour, and it took me hours. There was missing hardware, at least one missing step in the instructions, and endless problems assembling it. The slats of the two outside shelves are STAPLED on, and kept falling off, making those shelves pretty much useless unless I can think of a way to secure them with nails or glue. There are no holes to put any metal pins inside the unit to hold up the indoor shelf -- again, a design flaw. I took apart the thing and put it all back together again, certain I must have screwed something up, but I didn't. You get what you pay for but I deeply regret I didn't just go to a local antique or thrift store and find a nice old hutch. Don't waste your money on this product, and particularly avoid if you have high-blood pressure in terms of assembly.

Today I received this cabinet via UPS. The box was heavy and apparently at some point it was dropped. When we unpacked everything the "H" frame on the bottom of the butcher block cutting board top was completely disintegrated around one of the dowel pins holding the cross piece of the H frame. Heavy parts had been packed between these H frame parts and appear to have shifted. It can't be repaired and it would likely be impossible to repack all the pieces and return it. I have contacted Customer Service and spoke with Kelly, who was polite and professional. Unfortunately toady is Friday and I have to wait 2 business days (Tuesday) to have someone call me back and confirm the information for the replacement part that I just gave to Kelly. I have no idea how much longer I have to wait to receive the replacement part. To add insult to injury, the price is now reduced about $20 from what I paid. If this is resolved in a satisfactory manner, I will update this review, but for now, my first purchase from Overstock.com has been unsatisfactory and I can't recommend this cart or Overstock.com pending resolution. I had so hoped to have a good cart and a good experience.

I was surprised when the Island got shipped 2 weeks sooner than expected. This was good because it was a Christmas gift for my wife. I do cabinet work but am almost always too busy to build anything for my own home. I chose this one because I liked the style, the flat panel doors , the warm maple wood and the reasonable price. The assembly went pretty well but the directions were confusing at times. All the holes lined up and all of the screws worked as planned except the screws for the drawer slides of which the heads were too small for the holes even though they were in a special bag stating that they were bigger than normally supplied. Instead, I used 4 #8 screws of the same length that should have gone for the braces for the top. The smaller #6 screws worked fine for the top braces. The doors swing on pins instead of hinges so there is no adjustment but none was needed. The bottom is designed to sit on pins like the middle shelf but I plan to get some small angle brackets for the bottom shelf so the unit doesn't wrack out of square. I also plan on replacing (eventually) the drawer slides with full extension ball bearing slides so you can see what's in the back of the drawer and because the top of the drawer front rubs on the counter top. There is no adjustment on the slides provided. I will also replace the handles with some oil rubbed bronze handles to match the hardware in the kitchen. I also drilled two more holes for the middle shelf for more adjustment. Since the wood came with an oil finish, it will probably need more finish in time but that's an easy thing to do. The instructions tell you which oil to use to re-coat the unit. All in all, the island should serve the porpoise and provide some much-needed counter space and storage. The quality was well worth the $250 I paid (free shipping) and it was the lowest price I could find after looking at about 10 sites. I saw this island advertised for almost $400. at one site! I think the average person will be happy with the island as supplied, I just wanted to make it a little more unique with the little changes I made.
