  • Great and inexpensive

I bought this at a great price - less than *** - to put in my daughter's room for her books and toys. For the price, it is a great value. I wish the instructions were a little clearer. I read reviews saying the same and was very careful with assembly. As far as odor... unless you are super sensitive to smell, it is not overpowering. The color is more of an antique white (like Pottery Barn) than pure white. I would recommend.

I had a problem (stupid me) putting it together-- just a simple reversing of the legs. They were so nice on the phone and everything got straightened out. What nice people.

Bakers rack is high quality. It is fairly easy to assemble and adds a beautiful touch to your kitchen. Ample storage. Great purchase!

  • lightweight and problematic

This rack is disappointingly constructed from fairly lightweight metal wire, not the same gauge as the standard plastic covered wire shelving found in stores. The hooks for hanging over the door are designed to fit doors of 1 3/4 in. thickness; my interior doors are 1 1/2 in. thickness. The rack did not have sufficient stability when hung on the door therefore, so I purchased some hardware and installed the two racks permanently.
