I have bought factory refurbished laptops before. Both experiences were good ones as they were basically factory cleaned and sealed and arrived in brand new packaging. It is actually my opinion that a factory refurbished electronic is better because it has been reinspected and whatever faulty component there was, it has been replaced, then tested again. So when I came across this refurbished Kirby, I thought what the heck, it's less than about half the retail price, what a bargain. When I received the vacuum system however, I quickly discovered that this wasn't a factory refurbish as it came in a beat-up box that was obviously not the Kirby box and it was not even clean, the body had scuff marks, the wheels were dirty, it had obviously been used and extensively at that. So really this Kirby vacuum should have been advertised as 'second hand' not refurbished. BIG difference guys. Ok, I thought, still less than 1/2 is reasonable to pay for a second hand Kirby. But then lo and behold, I come to discover that the system was missing several components: hard floor pad, two hepa filter bags, zippbrush, miracle waxer, turbo accessory system and the portable shampooer cap. Once again, this would have been fine for Overstock.com to sell such a product, but really it should have 1) been advertised as second hand Kirby and 2) stated explicitly that it was missing the above mentioned components and therefore was certainly not refurbished but simply second hand.
