I am so happy with my new Kirby. I've own 2 Kirby's in the past & loved them so much I couldn't wait to get another. This Kirby handles alot better then the older models. 1st time I used it I could tell a difference in the appearance my house. Takes a little getting use to the hose...but I like the way I can just keep going & not be dragging the sweeper behind me.

This vacuum is easy to use. Does not require brute strength . Has great attachments for those hard to reach places. The pieces fit together easily, without having to "bully" anything. Good for the smaller person who is usually "vacuum challanged" - but a strong machine that gets the job done.

This was a great deal, I bought this for my daughter as I have a kirby and they are the best vacuum.. this was a steal it works just as good a new one....

Cons: This machine is so heavy nobody wants to vacuum. The mechanism that holds it upright broke right away. The safety piece that lets it run broke. The none breakable hose cracked; as well as some attachments. The replacement parts are very expensive. Only cleaned as well as demo in the beginning. A pain to switch out attachments. I worry about it wrecking my hardwood floors due to its weight. Pros: We have done an enormous amount of remodeling over the 8 years we have owned this machine and the sander attachment is our favorite part. We have flatten stucco walls with it. Most of the dust is vacuumed up as you sand. The motor will last a lifetime. Metal parts are a plus. Belts are inexpensive.

I bought this vacuum because my mom would no longer let me borrow hers. She bought a kirby vacuum 10 years ago, for three times as much as I spent on this one. She has only had to replace the bags and belts on hers, and paid for an upgrade a couple years back. I have no regrets with this purchase. It came faster than I expected, and I think it works better than the one my mom owns. Although, to be honest, I probably feel this way because this one actually belongs to me. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to purchase a vacuum that works great and lasts for years.

Kirby has a well-deserved reputation for making an excellent vacuum, and the G6 is excellent. Overstock had a very fair price and they delivered the product quickly and in good condition.

I'm returning this vacuum. After over an hour spent trying to troubleshoot the issue, I have only been able to get the vacuum to function with the hose attachments. When I try to reconnect the brush head, no power. I even tried replacing the belt for the brush head, which was much tighter...but still, nothing. Either (a) this was refurbished without checking functionality as an upright or (b) it works as an upright but I'm just connecting things correctly. Even if the latter is the case, I'm a pretty smart person and if I can't intuitively get this going, it's not going to work long term for my needs.

Great vacuum. When I tried it out after using my cheap old worn out vacuum I had a third of the bag full and didn't even hit the bedrooms yet. Great atachments too, hose is very long and gets into every area I needed to. I sold Kiry vacuums when I was a kid and this is the real deal but at a bout a third the price as I remember in 1980's dollars. Great buy!
