I looked at this chest for several months, I couldn't believe that that that this was Zebra wood. When I got it the drawers are covered in bamboo, which is what the picture looks like. The chest is a nice size and over all the quality was good. It would look great in a mid-century modern house or Asian inspired room. I also received this broken. The box looked fine, small ding on the top. It was packed very well, but the corner and top drawer were damaged as well as the other sides feet.This was careless shipping not the packaging.It is hard to rate a piece that is described wrong and the shipper ruined. I think this is a nice piece, just not what I wanted.

Overall quality is poor. Scratches easily and the knobs are not properly anchored. With that being said, it is still holding up in my bedroom and works with a varied decor.

I think another reviewer(s) already said the wood is bamboo, not zebra wood as described. Zebra wood would have been my prference; however, the dimensions of the product was perfect for my needs. The finish is slightly distressed, but not so much that it needs to be in a shabby chic room. I really disliked the drawer knobs and immediately replace them. The knobs included are weighty and a black/dull brass look. I used this piece as a night stand in a transitional bedroom in which nearly every other piece of furniture is nearly the same in color and style. The result is wonderful and this little dresser is a huge contributor.

This chest is more lovely in person. It is the perfect size to use as my tv stand in my small master bedroom. It gives me additional storage space with a really upscale look. It is quite sturdy and required NO assembly. All I had to do was turn the drawer pulls around. Drawers are not huge, but definitely useful. I looked far and wide for something that would fill my purpose without spending a fortune. I would definitely recommend this chest, especially at this price.
