  The lamp seems fine, but looks nothing like the picture. What appears in the picture as a royal blue is in fact a very dirty, dusty looking dark blue. And the moon and stars that appear to be white in the picture are actually a mustard yellow. It is not light and juvenile; it looks like something I pulled out of my grandmother's attic. I would not have bought if the picture had been accurate.

  used the base for a custom made shade and it had to be reworked to fit - but it looks fine now

  The lamp itself is tiny, but cute. As the other reviewer stated, my lamp also came broken. The hockey sticks on the stem had broken off. This is something that could be fixed with a glue gun, but for $60 you shouldn't have to. So, I called Overstock and they got a new one out to me pronto. Thanks for the great customer service! Also, make sure you unpack your lamp outside. It is in styrofoam so tightly that you literally have to claw at the foam to get it out. This sends the foam everywhere - BIG mess!

  Put it in my 7 year old son's room - I surprised him and he was actually more excited than I expected. Really liked the outer space motif. For some reason, it just gives me a warm feeling when I look at it

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color is as shown, I was afraid that the colors might make the light dim but that wasn't the case at all. Looks so nice
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. My electrician hung it & warned me to not put too much pressure on the glass when changing the light bulbs that the glass has potential to break. Not that it's fragile just be aware

  The lamp it cute, ( my grandson liked it ) but the packaging leaves a little to be desired. I struggled to get it out of the box of solid Styrofoam. After I was able to break it up it stuck to everything, what a mess! In spite of the packaging, the hockey sticks being unglued and the scratch on the base, from the sticks I suppose, it still is a cute and functional lamp. The shade with the hockey figures is a nice touch.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The picture was not of a hockey lamp so I didn't know what color it was
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality is good even if the sticks came unglued and scratched the base
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? I was pleasantly surprised that the base was a hockey rink as I only had the inaccurate picture to compare it to.
