    This is a good choice of desk for younger children. I bought two and I'd say the age range of comfortable use is about 4 to 8yrs old based on the height of the table and chair. I was happy to find something made out of solid wood, even though the cherry color is a little more orange than I had expected. It's your typical assemble type furniture. I think it took me an hour to assemble two sets of the desk and chair. I really like the throwback style of desk, and lots of parents and grandparents love the look. I also like how it's smalll and compact so it doesn't take up too much room. However, it seems like something a kid will soon outgrow once they start doing "real homework". The surface is good for a workbook or maybe a smaller drawing or art project. I'm guessing by 2nd grade, when they might need more room to spread out papers and books, I'll have to look for something bigger.

    Material is a rough natural/neutral colored linen. Little batting, material is pulled tightly on squared corners. Looks so cheap any bedding would be cheapened at well. Belongs in the garbage heap. Now I have to figure out how to return it. It is also very heavy!!

    I absolutely love this dresser/changing table combo. It seems very sturdy and durable, but was also very easy to put together. My husband and I put this together in about 1 1/2 hours (we did use a drill though, not a screw driver).

    It came properly packaged and easy to assemble although not perfectly lined up screw holes. The headboard itself is fine for a guest bedroom and seems like it will last.

    I ordered this desk for my six year old daughter. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this desk is! It's sturdy, has a large working area, has a place for her lamp, pencils and other items up top and it's colorful pink has her excited to do her homework. It's also really easy to move around with the wheels. She has moved it herself into three rooms to "work" near us. Oh, and she helped me put it together -- so it's pretty easy to assemble and took us about 30 minutes (mom and a six year old). I see her using this desk for a long time and for the price I have to give it an A+. Thanks again, Overstock! You rock!
