This bunk bed is super for the price. Solid hardwood, beautiful color, and very rich looking. The bed is sturdy and the kids love it!

My son wanted bunk beds when I re-did his room, upgrading him from baby decor to kindergarten. He is a very tall kid and I thought we would try the twin over full, perhaps getting a few more years out of the bed before having to switch to something larger. This bed is perfect! Great color. Fairly easy to put together. I did it by myself. Just watch when you put the top bunk together and make sure you get the rails and ends in the right order (speaking from experience, lol). Absolutely love this furniture and would buy it again. Thank you Overstock!

These beds come in a nice color and some pretty easy-to-understand instructions. As I read in some other reviews about this product, the hardware is crap! The trick to this bunk set is to moderately tighten each piece to where it is comfortably sturdy. Any tightening of these pieces will snap them (hardware). The construction of the wooden pieces is strong enough to support an adult (even though the product says 165 lbs.). The slats are numerous and support the matresses fine. The weakest part of this bed is the ladder. That might only support 165 lbs. My kids love their new bed! It took me about 2 1/2 hrs to put it together. Buy this bed set and you will be glad you did. It's pretty nice..

The reviews were dead on on this product. If you read the reviews, you will know exactly what you are getting. We bought this product based on the reviews. Also, our kids bedroom is not a big (10 x 10) as most bedrooms, so we needed to have a bunk bed with the ladder attached and a bunk bed that didn't feel bulky as if it would take up the room. I'm going to wait to see if the wood slats break like the other reviewer said...I don't think they will as the wood guys at Lowe's said the slats were actually pretty strong. If I had a truck or more time, I would have taken the reviewer's idea below to just get the plywood sheets (as they are only $20 each at Lowe's)...but no truck that day and the kids were excited to get in to their new bunk beds. Assembled it in 4 hours (with a DVR break watching the basketball game). No kids or family were home to distract me, so if they are home, then I'd say a solid 4 hours without breaks. Definitely get your drill and use it versus the tool supplied. Be sure not to screw in slats (near pillow area) that cover up the ladder holes (as I did that on one of them even though review also said not to)...we like this better than the cool bunkbed we saw at _________ and the ______ one was $800...we got ours for $*** or so...needs a 6 inch mattress or less per the directions...just so person on top is safe. Good luck as this is a great product.

It looks nice, the bottom part can hold a couple of people probably not super heavy. The top I wouldn't let my kids jump around too much but probably in any bunk bed

The color was way off. I ordered the light espresso as pictured. The box says light espresso. Turns out in fact it is not espresso but orangish. Totally ugly. What a hassle. And if you open the package to find out the color then you don't get a full refund but a partial and you have to pay the return shipping. Dont trust the pictures.

These bunk beds were overall a good deal. They are inexpensive, so you have to accept that from the get go. The instructions were clear enough to assemble the bed in about 2 hours. I did find that the cheap finish screws broke off when using a power drill to install them. Definitely make a run to the hardware store and pick up a dollar bag of similar screws of higher quality. We also saw that one of the headboards had a paper thin crack running through the vertical supports. I don't think it extends all the way through the frame, but we are going to request a replacement just to be safe - you definitely don't want these things to collapse on your young one in the lower bunk. The slats are nice - numerous thin pieces of wood that woven together with a nylon running chord. The unit when properly assembled is pretty sturdy. I'm wouldn't climb into the top bunk with my kids, though. The finish was remarkably good and even. It won't hold up to the sort of wear and tear that kids generate on bedroom furniture, but at under ***, if they last 5 years we will probably be ready for something else at that point anyway. Do note that the ladder can only be positioned the way it is shown. There is no option for removing it or switching it to the other side.

Great solid bed frame. my kids love it and i love the fact that once they get tired of bunk beds the come of easily and you can place them side by side
Children's beds act as an empty canvas just waiting to realize its potential. To a child, a bed is not just a place for sleeping, but a place for secrets, toys, and make-believe. Kids' beds can become pirate ships or spaceships and change just as quickly into a covered wagon or castle. Their imagination knows no bounds, which can sometimes lead to accident-prone afternoons. The ever popular "Let's-pretend-the-bed-is-a-trampoline" game usually ends in tears. Read More
