I bought this table specifically to hold my key computer peripherals: hard drive, printer, and scanner so that they were easily accessible but out of the way. The three-tiered design met my requirements exactly. The components feel solid and the assembly is both easy to execute and solid. However, the table is not perfect; there is an obvious design flaw, but it is not apparent unless the table is upside down. This flaw (placement of extraneous bracing) does not affect its function, stability or appearance. The color is a rich red/brown and the design simple. I'd use it for other applications without hesitation.
I purchased this table, based on the photograph and decription of it being "mahogany" colored. I would assume that that would mean a dark reddish-brown.However, when the table arrived, it was a medium to light colored "cherry" color. Not at all what I had in mind.I would not recommend this if you are looking for a dark brown table.
I ordered three of these, but sent two back because they didn't match my dark brown living room furniture. The third matched my bedroom furniture, which is brown with red undertones. These are large (width and depth) for side tables. They'd be good if you have large chairs and sofas. They seem solidly made and were packaged securely. One table arrived without instructions for assembly. Assembling the table required screwing in several screws with an allen key to the underside of the table. This required a lot of patience, but was doable.
