I purchased a Chemex coffee carafe and I decided it was too much trouble to boil water on my stove. This kettle is great. It has a measure so you don't have to measure the water before you put it in, and it's fast! It shuts itself off when it reaches boiling which is perfect because for the Chemex, the water needs to be just below boiling temperature. I looked at many others which were far more expensive. This is just what I wanted, for a great price. I love Overstock.com

Very favorable performance from this item. Well packaged and shipped. Instructions for use clear and accurate. Far faster to make boiling water for tea or instant soup than using a microwave or stove top kettle. Not mentioned in advertising but useful, a filtering mesh on the spout. On-Off switch returns to Off position after reaching full temperature. Exactly as I expected the item to be.

I first used this type of kettle in France on a visit there. It heats up water extremely fast and hotter than a microwave. I find boiling water on a stove better than microwave (somehow tastes better) but stove top takes a long time. This works great and automatically turns off when water boiled so don't have to run to the stove anymore for a whistling tea kettle.

Does a great job of heating up water, fast and convenient. Is a bit noisy but that is livable.

Finally I can stop heating water in a pot on the stove!! This electric kettle is easy to use and very convenient to have since I am a regular tea drinker. In fact, I use it anytime hot water is needed in the kitchen for things such as instant soups. The process is fast and I fill the jug directly from the water dispenser on the fridge. I must caution that you follow the manufactures' instruction of boiling and discarding water 3-4 different times BEFORE you actually use the 5th boil to avoid the "new product" taste. I really enjoy using this kettle and I know that you will be happy with this purchase.

Bought one for myself and a coworker and we love it! I have had it for a couple of weeks and it boils water quickly, shuts off on its own, and has had no issues. Convenient and so far has held up. At this price, even if it lasts only for a year it would be worth it for the convenience factor. It also is much lighter and takes up less space than my conventional Creuset kettle. Also really nice that the actual kettle is cordless, making it easy to move from counter to counter, or counter to table.

This kettle heats water even faster than the microwave. The automatic shut-off is a nice safety feature.

Really love the jug!!! Much faster then microwave to heat a cup of water for tea. Can't do without it now. Excellent value for the money. Would highly reccomend to anyone.

I purchased this item for an elderly relative who is unable to use a stove and I feared she would have problems with boiling water in a microwave. She loves her jug kettle and uses it every day. It is serving her well.

PROS: fast and easy hot water in minutes; auto-shut-off when water reaches rolling boil prevents accidents; rubber grips stay cool and prevent slipping/dropping CONS: none Great for tea and other hot beverages but I also use it to pre-boil water to fill large pots when I am cooking pasta because it boils so much faster than a covered pot on the stove/cooktop. Of course, it is also much safer than heating water in a microwave.

I was impressed that I could get a product like this for the very small price I paid. I got it so I could easily serve very hot water (boiling) to my guests for tea bags. This does a good job because the base can be left on the counter. One of my favority purchases.

I am very happy with the Kalorik Jug Kettle. It heats water very quickly! I really like the automatic shut off button as soon as the water boils. Saves energy and the water doesn't boil away to nothing! It holds just the right amount for a couple of mugs of tea or cocoa mix! The wireless jug is easy to use, pours well and looks nice on the counter top!!!!

Heats quickly--wish the heating element wasn't immersed in the water because of mineral buildup from our hard water, but it does a good job.

I drink tea daily and have been boiling water in a small pot and knew that I needed one of these electric kettles to save time and electricity. I finally got around to getting one from Target, a Sunbeam brand and did not like it. I saw this one and had heard of the Kalorik brand, so after reading the product description, I decided to order it. It was several dollars more than the Sunbeam kettle but I felt it was worth it. I have been using it 3 or 4 times per day and am very happy with it. I should have ordered it a long time ago and saved myself a lot of time and electricity. With winter approaching, I will be needing it several times a day. It is clean, safe, just the right size for me and my needs. What I like also is that it is cordless, versatile and convenient.

This Kalorik White Jug Kettle makes a very nice gift. The person I gave it to says that it works well and is pleased with this product. Also, it saves you money so that you do not have to purchase tea at a deli or when you are at work the coffee wagon.
