This blender is great! It makes the smoothest margaritas without any trouble. The only negative I have about it so far it the quality of the lid. It is a flimsy plastic and I would like to have seen a sturdier lid. Other than that, I love this blender and it looks great.

This blender does a decent job blending (really only use it for power shakes) but the high pitch whine it makes is awful - very loud and shrill. Was surprised given the other good ratings and perhaps I got a lemon but to do over again I would order something else.

I make smoothies every morning and just killed my Cuisinart. The Kalorik blender is much better built than any of the other blenders that I've had to discard. So far so good. It may be the real deal. Great price and super color. It may rate 5 stars if it lasts.

I got this blender about a month and a half ago. At first it was ok, blending fine (though I often had to push stuff down with my hand and blend several times). Then I noticed it was leaking at the bottom, making it rusty and making the base fill up with rust water. Ew. Then, this morning, it CRACKED FOR NO REASON! I just blended something (not cold) and used hot water (not scalding) to rinse it and suddenly a huuuge crack appeared all the way down it. I have not bumped it or put it under dramatic temp changes! Ridiculous. It's too late to return it, but I might have to contact Kaloric because I am very frustrated.

It's a bit early to judge durability, but all signs point to "good". Solid, attractive with a lid that fits TIGHTLY. I have already found this robust little jewel can hack through ice cubes like they were butter cubes. Reasonably quiet, large jar, tough blades and, while I was concerned that the flashy red exterior was just paint, it actually appears to be much tougher, perhaps an epoxy or powder coat. I'm pleased with the value, the simplicity and the fact that no longer will a row of 12 buttons (who needs that many settings?) will not be glued down by my last failed slushie. Best wishes!

When my Oster died, I went to cooks illustrated for a reccomendation. This was rated #2 but was over $100.00 cheaper. We have only had it a week so I cannot judge durability. But I will say it makes a great frozen Margarita. And Overstocks price with shipping included was the best by far.

I bought this blender after returning not one but TWO expensive models from WS. So far so good on this one. Handles the frozen bananas and strawberries like a charm. The motor does have a high-pitched whine that sends the dogs running, but it works fine, which is all I wanted in the first place.

I purchased this mainly to make old fashioned milkshakes and malts. The Kalorik does this superbly. One warning though, the blades are so efficient that if you are not careful you over process your shake! Haven't tried to pure homemade soup yet but will with the onset of cold weather.

So pretty! Like the weight. Wanted a blender with a glass jar and this one makes me happy. The only thing is that the lid fits soooo tight you need to pry it to get it off. So, be assured it will not come off while blending, but open away from you and/or with a kitchen towel over it to prevent splattering. This may loosen with time. Other than this one mention, I really like the blender and would consider buying another at this great price as this one is going to the Mexico home.

Excelled at ice crushing and mixing. This ultra-quiet blender has an innovative design: six blades with two blades serrated, and a steeply tapered glass jar that helps keep the contents moving, hitting it at different angles. The removable base and blades made cleaning a breeze. Very inexpensive for the performance the blender delivered.

I needed a blender for my morning drink and this blender was the best value. I love that it is a glass pitcher although the lid is not so great, but it doesn't affect the performance. It has 2 speeds, but it is enough to get any blending job done. It is small enough to leave out on the counter without taking up much space. It runs very smooth and quiet. I am very happy with this blender.

I ordered this blender for my relative in VA and they received it within one week. I was very pleased how quickly they received it. Ordering it on line here in AZ to have it delivered in VA was extremely convenient. It is used daily and I have heard no complaints!! Great service.

I purchased this blender after reading the other reviews. Love the retro style and glass pitcher. It crushes and blends to perfection. The only negative is that I went a little crazy making smoothies and gained 5 pounds. Great product. Would be nice in different colors.

I had been using the magic bullet for my morning smooties and was not completely satisfied with it. I read the reviews on this model and decided to get it. I'm delighted with it's performance as well as it's appearance and the fact there aren't a lot of bells and whistles. I would highly recommend this gem.

This blender does a great job at pureeing frozen fruit for smoothies. The first time I used it I was really surprised by how smooth my smoothie actually turned out that morning, since I was used to a very granular result with my old blender. I haven't used it for anything but smoothies yet, but expect it will do well. It looks nice on the counter too.
