I wish I would have read the reviews before I bought this! It is pretty, and it looks good on my counter, but that is about it. The coffee jar spills very easily, it's just about impossible to pour my coffee without it spilling everywhere-even if I pour it slowly. Also, even after cleaning it, me and my husband's coffee both taste like plastic. It is VERY cheaply made---very, very dissapointed with this product. I order a lot from Overstock, but I was not happy with this purchase. Please save your money-do not buy this product.

I ordered this coffee maker sight unseen (except for the photo which doesn't show the top open). The opening for pouring in water (an integral part of making coffee) is extremely narrow and difficult (and think how it would be first thing in the morning when you're not completely awake because you haven't had your coffee yet). The water spilled all over the place when we tried to fill the machine....a definite mess. Can't speak about the coffee, since we decided that even if it made awesome coffee the awkward design wasn't worth it.

this product looks good but is not worth the money. It has a very poorly designed pour spout which dripd no matter how slow or fast you pour,creating a mess.It does not shut off automaticlly when done. Very disappointing!!

The only reason I'm giving the Kalorik coffee maker (and company) one star is because Overstock does not allow 1/2 star increments. Just 8 weeks after the year warranty expired my red Kalorik coffee maker has failed once again to operate. This is the second malfunction. Originally, about 6 months after my initial purchase, the glass karafe shattered while in the middle of brewing. Which makes me think the themoflask would be a good investment. Today however, the hot plate burnt out and the coffee maker won't brew. The karafe also drips badly while pouring. Bottom line, if all your after is a good looking coffee pot that brews a decent cup of coffee it should be fine. Just plan to buy another one a year or so later and double up on your supply of paper towels. Shame on you Kalorik.

Color is beautiful... looks great on the counter. Makes a good-tasting cup of coffee. Spout on carafe is very poorly designed. Must be poured as a trickle so as not to leak everywhere.

It was supposed to be 13 in. tall but it was 131/2 in. so it doesn't fit, on my counter, under upper cabinet. Very hard to pour water in without making a mess. Impossible to pour coffee in cup without making a mess. So sorry I bought it. My first Kalorik and my last Kalorik.

I was actually dissapointed. When you go to pour the waten in the tank it spills all over the place. When you pour the coffee in the cup , it spills all over. The only thing that was nice was the color. NLH

A bit noisy, but makes good coffe. And looks great sitting on the counter. The spout is really a messy pour. Even if you take the whole lid off. I do take the llid off, pour the whole pot (over the sink) into my thermal pot with a good liid and pour spout. Then pour my coffee into the cup/refills from there. This works for me, and I would buy this pot again to have the good tasking coffee and good looking coffee pot!

This coffee maker is a beautiful accent in my kitchen. It makes great coffee. I have several problems with it. As pretty as it is, it has a lousy pour spout. It dribbles like crazy when I pour coffee. Also, when I fill the water up to the 8 cup line it fills the pot too full. It sure is pretty, though.

A basic unit with no frills, but well worth the price. Does not have automatic timed cutoff, but does a good job at brewing. Easy to clean and makes robust coffee owing to the deep "V" filter. Thermo-flask keeps second cup hot enough.

This coffee maker is beautiful to look at. Unfortunately it is impossible to pour a cup of coffee without spiling coffee. There is a problem with the pour spout. This means that you have to pour the coffee into your cup over the sink. Also, if you use the coffee pot to fill the water reserviore....it spills all over the place. Looks great, not great to use daily.

A good looking coffee maker carefully packed and promptly shipped. Prior reviews indicate that some owners are having trouble spilling the coffee when pouring. Simply open the lid 1/4 turn so that it pours perfectly! It brews to the appropriate temperature and keeps the coffee warm. It is particularly easy to add the correct amount of water due to the large scales visible on both sides as you pour the water into the machine. A good buy which I would recommend to potential buyers. The manual could be expanded and it does need an automatic shut-off system, but it is a great value for the price.

It was great to find a red coffee maker but it has some issues with the pouring, I got the hang of it and now is better, but I wont recommend to a friend even thoug we love our red coffee maker.

I read reviews on this before I ordered it and a few complaints about the pour spout (dripping/mess), but honestly I think that's a "hit-or-miss: with most coffee makers, I have mine on the counter, close to the sink and just pour over (in case of drips). This is a beautiful kitchen appliance and I would recommend it.

I have been looking for a small red coffee maker for myself. This 8 cup unit is bigger tnan I wanted, but I'm well pleased with it. It is quite simple and very easy to use. It makes coffee and that is what I want it for. A great little coffee maker and it looks great also.

I was so exited to get this coffee maker in 3das. since initially ordering this product.I ordered it after reading several negative reviews,one mans junk is another mans treasure.I didn't notice any of the problems other people had.The coffee tasted great,it does not leak at any point in preparation or serving.I don't know why other people had their problems,just being knit picky I guess.My husband and I love it and it is much prettier than the picture.Sincerely Your Faithful Customer

My name is Joey and I purchased this coffee maker about 2 weeks ago. I remember getting the product to my home. For the first time I opened the product I know I made a good purchase. The coffee maker operates quietly and coffee is hot and browed well, so from functionality stand point it is very easy to operate. My wife Donna is happy as our backsplash in the kitchen have red in it? so it perfectly matches the design. All I have to do is get up early prepare the wife her cap, and go to work. Overall I recommend !!!

I have yet to make a cup of coffee. The water stays in the brewer . I have to manually open the maker and pour/sift grounds around. The product looks good on the counter, but is not perfected.I have tried both a basket and paper to hold coffee grounds. Nothing has worked Plus no operating instructions came with merchandise; only assembly instructions.
