So far, so good!
lori120  from Sedro Woolley, WA,  Nov 19, 2009
I used my new waffle maker for the first time yesterday. I really like the size and shape of the waffles. I was concerned about the size because other reviewers had commented about the waffles being too small. As far as my husband and I are concerned, they are the perfect size. The unit heats up quickly, and I can cook a fresh waffle faster than I can toast a frozen one. It takes about 2 minutes per waffle. As well, I love the heart-shaped design. The unit is easy to clean, and it's smaller size makes it easier to store. I did not rate the durability of the unit only because I've it for a few days--not long enough to determine how durable any product is. All in all, I would definitely recommend this waffle maker. I'm very happy I bought it.

A Little cutie
holyscroller  from Washington State,  Nov 19, 2009
These are the smallest waffles I have ever seen, (about the size of a large pancake), but I like 'em. It would take quite a while to make enough for a whole hungry family. If you do have a big family, I would suggest buying two or three of these waffle makers and make them all at the same time. Don't use too much batter either, or it will run out and make a mess. I had the change my waffle-making style, but they do make pretty little waffles.

Kalorik heart shaped waffle maker
pager4  from Fort Worth, Texas,  Nov 11, 2009
If you want to feed a crowd, this isn't the waffle maker for you. However, saying that, I ordered it based on the reviews although the "cutsey" heart shape wasn't, and isn't, to my liking. Figuring my stomach wouldn't know if the waffles were heart shaped or square, I ordered it.Easy directions, easy cleanup, easy heat-up, not much guesswork tho it took a couple of trials and errors not to ovefill it, where, when the top closed, the batter spilled out.Overall, a really good waffle maker for a single or a 2-some, as all four cooked waffle hearts will fill a dinner plate, then pour in more batter for plate #2.Nice bargain Overstock,

great idea
jaffy39  from Tallahassee, FL,  Nov 8, 2009
This was purchased as a gift for a fourth grade teacher who makes waffles with his students every year for Mother's Day. It is a great tradition and the kids love it! So do the mothers :-) It is a wonderful time for the students to cook and serve their mothers something special and so the heart shaped waffle was perfect for this project. I have no idea how well the waffle iron works or its durability or workmanship, but I know it will bring joy this coming May. The cost was so minimal compared to the message it will deliver that the value should be a 10 star rating!

Great buy for the price
heartwaffle  from Quebec, Canada,  Oct 26, 2009
I am very pleased with my purchase of the Kalorik heart-waffle maker. I was looking for one in Canada where i live, but none were available. Overstock's was very reasonably-priced.I tried the waffle-maker this weekend, and was very happy with the results. For the low price I paid, I got a machine that makes waffles according to your liking (with 5 settings of crispiness to choose from), a light that turns from red to green when the waffle is ready (but no beeper), and also a design that ensures that if too much batter was put in, the overflow pours onto your counter (which is easily cleaned) rather than on the waffle maker itself. I had been considering other more pricey products, but after reading a bunch of reviews saying that alot of them were a hassle to clean, I finally decided that this criteria was important to me. So I compromised on the beeper and other fancy extras, but I got the basics right - no-stick, easy clean, very compact, low price, quick bake - and of course the heart-shape design, so romantic.

I sort of love it...
frugalkaren  from Chicago, Il,  Oct 10, 2009
We have mixed reviews in our house about the waffle maker. I thought it was "cute" and my son thinks it's too small. It took over an hour to make one batch of waffles. We are now looking for a larger waffle maker so that we can all eat at the same time!

Outstanding!
icyoung  from Gaithersburg, MD,  Oct 9, 2009
I purchased this item for use in my special needs classroom and was initially disappointed to see the small size. I used it yesterday for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The speed with which it cooked the waffles far outweighed the size. I was able to prepare 3 waffles in the amount of time it would have taken a larger iron to heat up. They were crispy and delicious! It was a great bargain! Thanks Overstock!

I bought this for my daughter who is addicted to waffles and lives in the dorms. She was delighted when she saw the heart shape of the waffles. She told me that they are the perfect sized waffles, that it is easy to use and is great for the dorms. She buys the quick mix Bisquick in a plastic jug and freezes the leftover waffles (if there are any after her roommates share with her). That way she doesn't have to have eggs & milk always available and can make them whenever she wants.

just great
cyntomp  from Litchfield, CT,  Oct 4, 2009
these make yummy waffles in no time. I don't like "fluffly" Belgian waffles, so this was perfect; they are thinner. Easy to clean and store, nice, modern looking. . I shopped around quite a bit, and you CANNOT beat the price! My teens love to use it. Can't wait to have neighbors over on the first snow day

This machine is great! It is a small waffle, but it is perfect for a single person. The receipe for crisp waffles is as good as crepes. It doesn't take up much space on the counter. The heart shaped waffles are a big hit with the grandchildren.

Great waffles
destrysmimi  from San Diego, CA,  Sep 25, 2009
I just got my waffle maker and made my first batch of waffles. I read all of the reviews first, and used only 1/2 cup of mix and tried different power settings. The waffles come out nice and brown and fluffy on power setting of 5. Great value, great price and fast delivery! I'm very pleased!!

Good Waffles
pittsburghrcd  from Pittsburgh, PA,  Sep 16, 2009
Ah, my first waffle iron at age 56 (today). I like it. It's easy to use and makes a good waffle. The waffles are soft, however. Even though it is set on #6, the waffles still turn out more like patterned pancakes. If you like your waffles well done and crispy, this is not the buy for you. It would have been nice if the cooking surfaces removed for easier cleaning. For the price, it was well worth the purchase.

This is a nice lightweight product. This is the second one we have had - the first lasted a few years. It is a good value.

Heart shaped waffle maker
jayellobee  from Royersford, PA,  Sep 14, 2009
Got this to make waffles for the kids. Perfect for that purpose - they like smaller, thin waffles which this delivers. Thanks to prior reviewer tip that 1/2 cup is the perfect amount... it is. Play around a bit with the settings to get just the waffle texture/crispness you desire and your... eh, golden.

Since we moved back to the US from Germany, we'd been looking for a waffle iron the makes the thin German style heart shaped waffles. We have found it. I love this machine. It's a really nice waffle maker and makes beautiful waffles.

I have 2 toddlers, and after reading the reviews on this product I decided to buy it. For the price you can't go wrong especially if the main reason you're purchasing this is for young children. The waffles come out thin, but perfect for little hands.

Heart Waffle Iron
Anonymous  from Moline, IL,  Aug 9, 2009
Cooks good. Had to play around a bit to find a suitable temp. to cook, so waffles came out golden on the outside and thoroughly cooked inside. Recipes in booklet / instructions are in weights, not measure. Can be confusing if you're not a cook and do this all the time. First time clean-up with the damp soft cloth was ok 'cept for some of the "non stick" coating coming off. This is due to lack of clean metal during the manufacturing process. Always wondered how they got the non-stick stuff to stick in the first place......Overall.........a good waffle iron.
