I bought this for my daughters sweet 16 party. It was a big hit! It is very easy to use and the cleanup was not bad at all....about 5 minutes. Can't wait to use it again!
I have had over 5 chocolate fountains, since I entertain weekly with one to watch American Idol. This fountain by Kalorik has had the worst sound and pump of all the brands I had tried before. I usually will burn out a fountain's pump after six months of weekly use, but this one could not even get all the chocolate up to flow evenly. I do not reccomend this fountain.
It's an entertaining product, but it's not as good as I thought it would be. The tier is not so level so even when the base is leveled, the flow is not quite even. On the other hands, it's a fun thing to have and the kids don't seem to care if the chocolate flow all around.
I bought the fountain to use for cheese so I was prepared to find some issues. It was quite an attention getter even though it did not flow all the way to the resevoir( to be expected) The cheese does not stay even luke warm, and to actually attempt to dip food into the sheet of cheese is one unbelievable mess.Maybe at a small family gathering in the kitchen at the bar would work better.I will try it with chocolate . Easy to clean the machine itself . But very messy to keep adding cheese, have to keep a crockpot with warm cheese close by
Ordered two of these for what our local rental place wanted to rent ONE and still had money left to buy all kinds of chocolate. They both operated flawlessly. Absolute hit of the party. I agree with one review that said they would not get warm enough to do cheese. It could have been a bit better if it went up a few degrees but I have no complaints overall. Easy to set up, worked right out of the box and looked gorgeous all night. Clean up wasn't too bad, I suggest having a bottle brush to really clean it well, but hot soapy water had it sparkling like new. I knocked one over on my counter and it dented the rim, a heavier model would have probably not done that but for the money and the ease, it was great. Reshaped it by hand, still holds everything in. Operated very quietly. Thrilled with my purchase.
