Defective both times
I asked for one of these for my birthday, and my mom ordered it and had it shipped to me. When I opened it, the plastic lid of the glass carafe was askew - it did not sit straight over the top of the carafe. I figured it was a fluke. We returned it, and Overstock.com shippped us a new one the same day. When I opened it the new one, it had the same exact problem. I wish I could submit a photograph of the crooked lid with this review. It was absolutely infuriating that the problem occurred twice with the same product. On a positive note, Overstock's customer service was very responsive.

tastes bad
nice looking but makes a bad cup of coffee I dont have a problem pouring it but who wants to have a bad taste of coffee looks nice on counter next to my red toaster to bad I wont be able to use it.Not exspensive but you get what you pay for

I'm sure this would have been a fine coffee maker but it leaked out the bottom during the brew cycle. I did not want to have to live with this defect.
