Broke
I really liked this steam press, but it broke one week before the warranty expired. I called the company to get help and they waited one week to call me back and then told me that it was out of warranty. I told them that I would like to purchase the piece that broke and they told me that they couldnt get it. They did however tell me that I could return it to them and they would give me a credit so that I could get something else from their website but didnt tell me how much credit they would give me. When I asked how much the credit would be they told me they didnt have a purchase from me on file and couldnt proceed. (its funny that they found it on file earlier) I sent them the proof and three days ago and no response at all. I don't find it feasible to send them my unit and get a small credit of say 50.00 and allow them to resell my unit as refurbished. The arm mechanism broke and does not allow you to close it down all the way so it will not press as well and may hang sounds like its grinding against something inside. The bottom plate is wood and wood (wood warps)

Sorry to say...
This is really a strong presser with good steam and heat. It is very large which makes pressing shirts difficult but you could probably come up with a system. The problem is that it is actually a hazard. When fully opened the space is only 6.5 or so inches at the widest and narrows to less than 3 inches in the back of the pressing surface. It is very difficult to use without burning you hands on the top plate. You need to be so careful when smoothing the fabric that it slows the ironing process almost defeating the purpose of using the presser. I have been using a steam presser for years and bought this to replace my unit when it died so I am not a novice. I burned my hands 4 times (blistered burns) trying to see if I could learn to use it safely. I think this is a serious design flaw and I returned the presser.

Ok Iron
This is a press iron for pants and not dress shirts. The item is heavy and bulky. You need to be careful not to burn your hand on the top of the iron. I tried to iron dress shirts and its impossible to iron. Its good for pressing pants and table cloths, but nothing else. I would recommend a cheaper unit.

I bought this steam iron a month ago for my hotel sheets & pillow cases. It does a "PERFECT " job ! I love it ! I used to rent from a company ironed sheets & pillow cases . They charged a $1 for each ironed sheet. I already ironed over 600 sheets & pillow cases in just 1 month. This steam iron already paid for itself. I like it so much i want to get another one. I would love to get a bigger than 34" if they make it.

Fun!
I am enjoying my Kalorik steam press. I had such a good experience ordering and receiving it that I ordered three more things from Overstock.com. Three of the four were before Christmas and all were good experiences. I wish there was a book of instructions on the best way to iron shirts, et al., but I'm learning!

This machine works great, so far there has been no problems, It sure is a time saver in pressing pants. My wife loves it.
