Kalorik 22-inch Steam Press

I bought one of these a few months ago and I love it! The electronic controls are easy to use. One tip: After turning it on you must select a fabric (heat level). I sometimes forget this step. I come back five minutes after turning it on only to find it's not preheating. But it heats quickly so this isn't an issue. I like the size of it. I keep it on top of my front loading washer. It has a lock so (after it's cool and you've emptied the water cup) you can close the lid, lock it, and then carry it by the handle. It puts out a lot of steam, but doesn't seem to use much water. I thought the water cup was way too small (I was constantly refilling my iron) but in three months of use I've yet to refill it. Take heed of the warnings about heat! The upper heat plate indeed gets very hot and you have to be careful arranging garments to be pressed. Although it doesn't get clothes to their "just purchased" crispness (how do they do that anyway?) it does a better job of pressing and creasing than my old iron did. And it's faster and easier to use.

Why did I wait so long to purchase the steam press? It's a time saver, a life saver and it's so easy. I haven't burned myself either, like I usually do with the iron because i"m in a hurry. Once I learned how to lay the items on the pad, then Press and they're done! You can press front & back at the same time. What a time saver. Welcome back cotton fabrics, I had avoided buying items needed to be ironed because of the time and space a traditional iron & ironing board require. Yippee ! ! ! !
