Customer Reviews
I recieved my expensive unit yesterday and I'm returning it tomorrow. The coffee comes out weak no matter how you set the strength level. The carafe is poorly designed with a lip around the inside making it impossible to remove all the liquid without sponging it out. The "done" alarm goes off until you remove the carafe, but when you do, the heating unit shuts off and has to be manually turned on every time you remove the carafe. The water unit is in the back making it difficult to fill. The carafe top screws on and off and has a thin rubber handle that is doomed to fail. It is a nice looking unit but the flaws and the poor performance makes it a waste of money.
I had problems with the coffee pot in the beginning, then it started working again and quit after 5 months. the grinder jammed constantly. The machine itself is very large and hard to move around to access the water chamber in the back. The clock is hard to read. The steam comes from the front and has actually began to warp above the grind drawer. the one positive is the stainless steel filter, that was cool. make sure to measure deminsions before purchasing, it is very large.
This coffee maker was bad from the get-go. It is designed badly, clock light was difficult to read, did'nt work on delay mode. Finally had no power on third day of trying to make coffee. Water tank hard to get to, because the unit it so big to move around. Placing pot in or out of warming plate difficult. Such a shame for so much money. I am retuning it. I love Overstock, but Kalorik shouldn't have sold this model.
