Amazing Dining Set
We read the positive reviews and really hoped it would meet our expectations too. It exceeded them! The packing materials were very sturdy as is the table. It is extremely well built, easy to assemble (with the right tools and two strong men) and looks fantastic in the kitchen. A nice surprise was that the leaf is self-storing and easy to unfold. The chairs are also very sturdy with a supporting rail between the legs, a generous size seat area for children and adults. The bench compliments the table and chairs and the kids are excited to sit on them (instead of half sitting/standing on the old chairs). There is a decorative shallow routed line around the perimeter of the table that didn't show up well in the picture on line but it adds a nice touch to the look. The wood is smooth, evenly stained and nicely finished. We look forward to our first family meal all sitting around the new table.

Excellent quality
Ordered this table and was shipped and received in less than a week. It was packaged nicely resulting in zero damage. Directions were easy to understand and put together. Also ordered the hutch to match the table, which came in one peice. The weight seems to be a little off on the website-weighs much more because everything on the table is solid wood. This is the most attractive table we've owned. My family shopped for months until deciding on this table, and we are definitely not disappointed.

Beautiful table
Beautiful table, very heavy duty. Disapointed with the color of the leather seats, but it is still beautiful. We were missing two screws, but customer service was fantastic and sent replacements right away. Quick shipping, great service, great table. Would buy again!

Nice set, but
Set is VERY heavy. Table weighs >150 lbs, the legs are massive. The table height is high and the table to chair height emphasizes this difference. I very much like the bench seat and the butterfly leaf. The leaf mechanisms are metal and seem to work very well/smoothly. The table has decorative grooves in the top, which I am concerned will be hard to keep clean. The top sits on a shelf that is made of the compressed particle board type material, making another cleaning issue. The table top is approximately 1/2 and inch smaller all the way around than the supporting particle board which is NOT depicted in the enlarged picture. I am also concerned that the particle board edge that is exposed on the table edges will make it more susceptible to damage. Nothing in the description indicated part of the table was anything other than oak. The table did arrive with a couple of minor scratches and a small chip, not too surprising for shipping something so heavy by commerical carrier. An interesting and qurky detail on the table and chairs is that there peg and groove detailing that shows a square peg in a round hole, but this is another detail that will allow dust to collect in the depression edges. You can see the detail on the chairs in the enlarged pictures, but the table top DOES NOT show the detail in the picture. All of this said I like the table, but if I had seen it before purchasing I would have selected a different set.

Black Leather
Received our table. We have not assembled it yet because we are taking it to the new home, but I took the chair pieces out of the box and the wood is beautiful and looks very sturdy and not cheap. The only thing that I am very dissappointed at is the color of the leather on the chairs. I bought this to match our leather sofa's which are brown. This is definitely black and not brown :( Other than that, looking at in in the box it seems to be of good quality.

Nice quality wood; cushions not very supportive.
This is a nice set for the price. I ordered this set and then bought an additional 4 chairs. A solid table with 8 chairs for about $1300 is a great deal. I love that the seats are wipeable since we have children. My youngest pulled off two of the buttons the first week that we had the table. Thankfully they popped right back onto the bench because the top of the button is not sewn into the bench. The button is covered in fabric and it fits into the bottom of the button which is made out of metal. I decided to buy the extra chairs and leave the bench under a big window for everyday use. When we have several children eating at the house then we will pull the bench out and squeeze extra chairs around the table for the adults. I think that you could fit 5 small children and 7 adults around this table if you needed to. It would seat 10 pretty comfortable and 12 a little snug. The padding on the seats is relatively comfortable. You could sit at the table for dinner and be comfortable for about 1-2 hours but then I think your bottom would start to get sore as the seats are not cushioned very well. They have a small amount of memory foam in them and leave an impression in the chair when you get up. They are not padded that well but still feel fine. They are more firm. All in all a very good set for the price.

Great table
I just received the set today. I put it together myself. The chairs were the biggest pain. It took me, one female, about 2 hours to get it all together. Another set of hands would've been nice. In the description, it states that the cushions are brown, but in fact, they are black. I knew this already from reading the reviews and it didn't matter to me. However, it might matter to you. So remember! THE CUSHIONS ARE BLACK!! I can't wait to have our first homecooked meal on this table.

Love this!
It came in great time, with the delivery men calling ahead of time. The chairs took a while to catch on to build right, but once got it going, they were easier. the table is solid and heavy and beautiful. have a few grooves to work around to get crumbs out of, but don't mind for as good as it looks. One button did pop off bench already, but little super glue and hasnt come of since. Bench does not fit under the table like i had hoped, but not a huge deal. definately recommend

Love this table!!!
The table and chairs are awesome but the packaging was awful. 2 of the 4 were damaged but the inner packaging still protected the table and chairs. The boxes need to stronger. Because of the damage to the boxes, one of the packets of screws and bolts had fallen out. I needed to contact customer service to have them sent to me. Customer service was great but it could have been avoided if the packaging had been adequate.
