The flatware was fantastic when we opened it, but after putting it in the dishwasher a couple of times, a plastic? coating started to peel off the handles? It looks horrible and we are not happy with the appearance after a few cleanings. It seems if we keep washing them the plastic? seems to peel off leaving the handles a duller black color. We would have sent them back but we had used them and thrown away everything after the first few uses thinking they were o.k.

I am pretty satisfied with my purchase. I have only one complaint. The black coating on the handles of the silverware flakes off after washing. It happened only on a few pieces, but was disappointing. I love the weight of the silverware and it is pretty nice to not watch you forks get destroyed in the dishwasher. I would definitely purchase more if it is available. The cost was really reasonable compared to most of the really expensive silverware.

One year later, every single piece of my flatwear is peeling off on the front side of the handle. I hand wash all of my dishes and about three months in I noticed that the plastic coating started to bubble. It looks terrible!!

Beautiful to look at new. First time you wash by hand or in the dishwasher the black handle peels off. Waste of money. Loved the look so we got rid of the box. BAD MISTAKE. DO NOT BUY.

I have to agree with other internet reviews of this flatware. It looks great until it is washed in the dishwasher a few times. The clear coating on the handles begins to crack and peel allowing the black finish to scratch and rust. If they we not meant for the dishwasher than the manufacturer needs to indicate that on the box.
