Finally! A great system for organizing my closet! I have tried everything short of calling one of these companies that charges thousands of dollars to design a closet system. Note that the difference between the regular and deluxe is that one is 12 inches deep and the other is 16 inches deep. I emptied my closet and called on a handyman to install this stuff, because I didn't want to screw it up. He said it was easy to work with, and he will recommend it to clients. I have a 12" on the right, and a 16" on the left, and LOVE it to pieces.

I am very happy with the product. We bought two delux closet systems for both sides of our walk-in closet. My husband and I are not professional carpenters, but we were able to install the closets ourselves. We found the instructional videos on youtube which were great - they were very detailed and easy to follow. If you follow them to the T, you will have no problem with the installation. I think we would have been completely lost and frustrated if we only had the printed instructions included in the package. The first closet took the two of us three evenings, a couple of hours each. The second one took us only four hours (and I am 7 months pregnant!). Also, I need to point out that customer service is great. I accidentally ordered the two closets in different colors (one maple and one mahogony). I used the web chat option to talk to a representative and he made the arrangements for me to return the wrong color. They did deduct the cost of shipping but I got it back as a store credit, so in the end I didn't lose anything because I applied this credit towards the purchase of the second closet - this time in the right color.

Nice alternative to the flakey partical board. The screws used to attach the units could be better quality.

It's the best option out there for do it yourselvers! Quality materials, not particleboard, beautiful simple slatted design and you can configure it in a dozen different ways. Like others have mentioned, the installation is time consuming and requires certain tools and handy skills that not everyone possess, but the outcome is you have a beautiful custom closet system that provides a ton of flexible storage at a fraction of what california closets or other custom shops charge. 16" is more expensive, but the depth is soooo worth it, I just wish for the price that it came with two additional tower shelves.

the overstock customer service was excellent. I have contacted them twice to ask for missing parts and both times were handled professionally and promptly send the requir parts for me to finish the closet. The product was in very good quality. However, it is best to have a professional to install it. I would order 'John Louis' products again if I needed more organzing products. Very happy with this order.

The quality of the materials used in the closet system are excellent. The first system took about 10 hours to design, customize, and install, but the remaining closets took much less time (about 5-6 hours each). We have small closets in an older home and this system updated the whole look of our bedrooms. The final results are stellar!

The home we purchased had the "standard version" in all the closets. We purchased the "deluxe version" for our master closet and we are so happy we did. It was easy to install and the quality of this product is far superior to all the standard 'do it yourself' closets out there and best yet, it's real wood unlike all the compressed shelving out there. so worth it....

We bought the 16 inch deep system in natural maple color for our remodeled master bedroom, it looked great after installation, although it's about 1/3 more than the 12-inch one, it's worth the money for the extra depth, we also used the remaining hanging bar for our guest room, overall a nice product.

We bought a new house and installed John Louis Deluxe closets in all 3 reach-in and 1 walk in closet. The closets took time to install but once i figured out the first, the others were easy to install. The walk in have 2 closet systems in opposite wall and it took me 10-12 hours to install but they came up looking nicer and more inexpensive than any of the other branded closet systems we looked at.

I bought 2 of these systems for our walk in closet. We put one against the left wall, one against the right and had enough pieces left over to make one long shelf on the back wall. The closet looks amazing compared to how it looked before with the awful white wire shelves. The wood gives the closet warmth and color. My husband and I put it all up in about a day and half with many breaks in between. As others have mentioned, the measuring and making sure the configurations are correct took the most time. Make sure you have an electric drill/screwdriver on hand as there are a lot of wood screws that need to be put up and doing it by hand would take a really long time. The only slight problem we had is that some of the wood pieces had little dents in it. The wood is soft and even banging something against it would cause some damage so definitely wouldn't recommend this for a child's closet where they will be putting things away on their own. The dents are barely noticeable and the system does come with a wood colored ink pen to fill in any bare spots.

It took us a little more time than it should have as our walls weren't straight and corner not true right angles, but we are very happy with the result, and the price can't be beat.

I am very pleased with this product -- looks great, and functions perfectly. There seemed to be plenty of flexibility to accommodate my specific needs as far as shelve heights and lengths. I can't comment directly on difficulty of installation since I had it professionally installed, though I don't believe there were any major problems.... I certainly recommend this product!

love this look, added doors and drawers ,made an excellent closet for master, with plenty of hanging room for garment and space for storage in the towers shelves which have room for extra items, can not go wrong, just make sure 2 people can put this together....took a while for husband and his friend.. looks great

The quality is excellent. Solid wood, all the screws and anchors included. Be prepared to spend some time putting this up...lots of pieces and measuring. Read the directions carefully. Patience! There is plenty of flexibility in the design for your closet space...suggestions in the accompanying printed materials.

This is an exellent product. Although time consuming to put up, the end result was beautiful. There was even enough shelf left over from the configuration we chose to put a shelf on the opposite wall. Worth every penny and then some.

We have just installed the Deluxe Closet system in our Master Reach-in closet. It looks great! The installation is a little time-consuming but can be done by anyone who has ever put together a piece of furniture. I will now be doing the walk-in and a 9'ft closet elsewhere in the house. Anyone who sees this closet system will be impressed.

Redoing 2 closets - looking good so far. We haven't installed everything yet - I may get the tower and a few drawers as well! Delivery was super smooth and fast - and - you can't beat the price!!!

Once of my shelves has a nice sized dent in it but otherwise I can't complain. My closet looks great. The installation can be tricky and it took longer than I thought it would. Much cheaper than California Closets. Adding modules (drawers, doors) can be kinda pricey though. I don't think you would regret ordering this closet system. All of my girlfriends are very jealous.
