John Louis Basket

I actually bought 4 baskets to put in my new John Louis closet- 2 of the deepest & 2 of the 12 " depth. The closet was the deluxe version which means the depth is 18". I accidentally bought 2 of the 12 " that were for a 12" depth closet. I thought I had been careful but I had been on several sites before I noticed that there were 2 different sizes -the deluxe & the standard. I think it would have helped if the title included the word deluxe so that you know which one you are getting. I wad really worried that I would not be able to return it but Overtock was very accommodating & helpful in my return-getting new baskets within 3 days!!!

Strong and sturdy solution to the age-old problem of laundry. We hung this in a JLH tower and put doors over it to hide it. It's easy to just open the doors, slide the basket forward, drop in the clothing, slide the basket back, then shut the doors. Voila! - laundry hidden yet easily accessible when it's laundry time. We put the towers up in our bedroom, right on the walls, and filled the bottom half with drawers, with doors on the upper parts (shelves behind the doors, obviously). Thus the towers function as dressers and wardrobes, while looking far better than most dressers and wardrobes, giving a clean, modern vibe to the room. Having our clothing storage hung on the walls of the bedroom also makes the room look larger, since the floor can now be seen all the way out to the baseboards (it's a well known decorating trick to keep as much of the floor visible as possible to make a room look and feel larger). Wall hung storage also makes cleaning a lot easier - no recessed toekicks, such as with dressers and wardrobes, where dust and grime can accumulate. This laundry basket is a much better solution than what we had been using before (a storage ottoman with a hinged lid), as it's much easier to get the laundry out with this basket than lifting it out the ottoman. We have the basket liner (that has handles) which helps even more. All in all, the entire John Louis Home system is a great solution that I would encourage people to consider just using in place of dressers and wardrobes, instead of only using the system in closets. The finish (we have the red mahogany color) is elegant enough to have out in rooms, not just closets.
