Gorgeous five-star hotel quality bed!
This is a beautiful bed; the pictures are accurate, but it looks even better in person. The size of the headboard gives a grand impression. I have a high profile, thick mattress and box spring, so the large headboard gives the look more balance. It arrived in two large and heavy boxes, roughly 90lbs each. There are a lot of comments on here about the difficulty of assembly. When assembling something with multiple planes such as this, you need to keep the bolts fairly loose until you've aligned all of the adjoining pieces. This allows you the flexibility to align the holes for the bolts. Once all of your bolts are started in place and aligned, only then do you fully tighten them in place. If you fully tighten the bolts before aligning an adjoining piece, you'll have difficulty lining up adjacent bolt holes. I believe this is where many people have had problems with assembly. However, with the use of a cordless drill with the proper Allen bit, and the aforementioned tip, I was able to assemble this bed in less than two hours by myself. The instructions were straight-forward, and I only needed to reference the instructions for the proper size of Allen bolts and other hardware per application - it was very easy to discern which bed parts go where. As stated, the total weight of this bead is heavy. However, if you assemble the bed in it's location, the average individual may not need an additional person; again, I assembled it alone. The finished product is absolutely stunning. It looks much more expensive than what was paid. It looks like a bed you'd sleep in at a Conrad, Waldorf, or W hotel!

Love It!
I absolutely love this bed! It's exactly what I expected it to be from just looking at the picture. I highly recommend this bed. It's eye catching, modern and elegant all at the same time. Love the rich color of the gray!! It does however take 5 hours to assemble with 2 people. Other than that, It's fabulous!!

Nice bed
this is a nice bed after putting everything together. it's sturdy and modern. however, it took us almost 4 nights to put together. the headboard is very tricky, we almost gave up, luckily we were able to undo and rearrange the pieces and then it worked. That's why I gave it 4 starts. Overall, it's a nice bed.

disappointed
The bed is gorgeous. The problem I had was that the wood used for the planks is to soft. the middle wooden plank broke so this caused the bed to spread apart so the smaller planks kept falling. the foot board and side board wood was stripped so I had to use longer screws to make it stay together tightly. I had to go to home depot to get a harder wood cut to size to fix the problem. I did this because it was easier than waiting for replacement parts. once I fixed these issues the bed is gorgeous and now sturdy.

Missing part and 3 hour construction
comes in 2 large boxes -- but not large enough because it took over 3 hours to build-- a million small allen wrench bolts that were very challenging to get alignment to easily screw into place. Was not an easy or swift operation-- and a cross member was missing for the box spring support. a bit annoyed at the end to have a missing part! Overall looks good and seems solid- recommend a low profile box spring for proper height. i had one so it worked perfectly for the height

it might look good but poorly made
within minutes I found out this product was very poorly constructed. The majority of the bolt holes were missing the threaded inserts making assembly of the headboard impossible. i had to go buy bolts from hardware store or wait to receive a whole new headboard. Four of the holes on the headboard were not even close to lining up and most were covered in fabric. You have to search for the hole and slice the fabric yourself. The baseboard holes did not line up with headboard bolt holes....but you can see the bolt hole from the exterior.....looks like crap. Overstock should be ashamed at the quality of this product. This is my last purchase from Overstock.

Looks good on paper
I tried assembling the bed the day it arrived only to discover three of the four headboard panels did not have the requisite hex nuts in the holes. It was impossible to assemble the unit without going out to purchase additional hardware (nuts) from the local home improvement store. I called Overstock Customer Service to explain the problem but I dont think the representative understood the dilemma. It also sounded like I would be waiting nearly a week for a replacement unit so I decided it wasnt worth the wait. Second, the upholstery fabric was horrid! Some polyester fabrics look quite nice but the fabric on this unit looks very cheap and the panels are not as plush as they look in the photo. I would not consider this hotel quality as some reviews have suggested. It's low budget motel quality at best.

I love this bed, took some time to assemble but it looks amazing! Very sturdy and comfortable...get lots of compliments on it.

sleep in style
This bed is definitely a statement piece. It gives a luxury hotel feel and is a great balance of masculine and feminine design. This bed can be used with or without a box spring which is also a nice benefit. The assembly was simple enough that I was able to complete it by myself with a little bit of a balancing act during certain steps. (two people are obviously recommended for assembly) I've been looking for this style of bed for awhile and all others I've come across have been twice the price. Plus, with Overstock's free shipping you just can't get a better deal on such a great bed.

it is a Ikea product .. but U R paying ALOT MORE!
this was exactly like wearing something from Ikea except this one was much much much much much much more expensive ... I thought at least the back headboard was going to be just one piece .. I am very good at putting things together especially bed frames ... the headboard alone took me like seven hours to put together by myself ... and the bottom section that holds the mattress took me another four hours to put together ... and the instructions Wow and the person who wrote these instructions .. had to be some idiots from the Jerry Springer Show and the instructions that they told you to put things together would not even close not to mention that the wood comes to you already broken in the box and that 10 cent pieces that come to you .... comes to you broken cracked this is exactly like getting a bed frame from Ikea for $*** ... but you're paying *** dollars because it's coming from Overstock ... and they slap a fancy name on it .. to charge you an extra $*** .. I would have been a little happy of most of the stuff didn't come broken cracked
