Great chairs, horrible packaging
These chairs are great, very unique and go well with my table. However, be prepared for some damage to the chair-back packed on the bottom of the box. I bought 2 sets of chairs and both of the bottom ones (just wrapped in a plastic bag) rubbed so much on the bottom of the box they almost ripped through and are dented and scuffed in the same spots. The scuffs are nothing a little stain can't fix, but the denting on the wood where it was touching the box is quite noticeable. Seems silly these should arrive like this since just one more piece of cardboard would probably solve this issue. Not sure I will keep these yet- when I buy something new, I expect the condition to actually look new!

Striking and comfortable
When my friends first see these chairs, they always mention how cool they look, which is not surprising considering their utterly unique design. The asymmetrical latticework of the back is striking and memorable. Ive never seen anything like it -- they recall the unusual patterning of stained glass windows, or something biomorphic, like the branches of a tree. Whatever the inspiration, Ive never had such a comfortable conversation piece! Very satisfied!

Solid, sophisticated and eye-catching
The intricate and unique lattice work that make up the backs of these chairs is what really caught my eye. The design adds a funky flair that makes this set stand out from most within this price range. Pretty chairs for my apartment
I ordered these chairs to match my mid-century furniture in my apartment. They are very nice-looking. They were simple to assemble, although the instructions were poor. The seat back is a little lower than expected, but since I am short, I think they are perfect. The seat is a normal size, although the grey fabric is not very appealing and I may cover it with something else. Overall, product was as expected, overall stain and color was consistent between the 2 chairs. I was surprised at how well they matched my mid century buffet, which is walnut. The chairs are sort of a dark walnut. Recommended.

Luv'em
Looked at these chairs for weeks untill they sold out. Then realized I couldn't find anything like them anywhere else for this price. Snatched them up immediately when they came back on. I Am so glad i did!. Love these smaller scale sturdy chairs with thier unique modern back design. Put them both together in about 15 min. and easily recovered the seat pads using a staple gun and the fabric of my choice . Total project about an hour, and I have two gorgeous "designeresque" chairs.

Decent Chairs
The chairs are sturdy and were easy to assemble. My one complaint is that the stain job on the insides of the chair back's cut outs is a little lacking. The wood is a little rough inside the cut outs as well. They look great, but a little more care should be taken during the staining process.

5 Stars for the actual chairs. 1 Star for the condition they arrived in. Average = 3 Stars I love these chairs. They are unique and high quality. There was a HUGE problem, though, which was that they arrived damaged. I ordered two sets and one set was severely damaged in transit - both chairs have MAJOR, deep scrapes (not superficial scratches) in the wood. There isn't enough padding in the packaging to prevent damage. I was able to hide SOME of the damage with furniture stain that I happened to have on hand - scrapes are still there but less obvious since the stain blended the mismatched colors - but it's going to take a lot more work to make the chairs perfect (lots of sanding, more staining, etc.). I was tempted to return them, but be advised that returning to Overstock is not a simple process. There is a restocking fee in some cases and your return needs to be evaluated by Overstock before you send back the items. The shipping company is contacted to check if you signed for the items without mentioning damage, etc. DO NOT SIGN FOR THE CHAIRS IF YOU THE BOX IS DAMAGED - EVEN IF ONLY SLIGHTLY. If the box is damaged, the chairs are also likely damaged because there is no barrier between box and chair. Basically, returning the chairs was a headache that I did not want to deal with, plus we really needed seating at our dining table. In the end I opted to keep them. Overall, I'm happy with the product MINUS the damages. In retrospect, would I have ordered? I can't definitively say yes. I have made peace with the fact that two of the chairs aren't perfect BUT there's really no excuse for chairs to arrive damaged regardless of price point, which isn't THAT low to begin with. If I could pick these up in a store for the same price, I would do it without question. Ordering again from Overstock? It's a gamble! Not sure I would.

Jenifer Modern Dining Chairs
Our purpose was to get chairs that were upright and yet attractive. They are used daily in an optical dispensary. The cushions are stiff and are not inviting to sit for long periods of time, but that is not required or desired in the situation that they are used. We are very happy with the appearance and weight so that they are easy to move, yet sturdy.

Stylish but not durable
Very stylish and pretty comfortable. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. A couple of issues to consider: the cushions disconnected in some within several months (we bought the metal corners to secure them, which seem OK for now) and the paint has been chipping places. Also, during shipment, several wooden parts came damaged, but the new parts were sent immediately - that's a minor.

Perfect chair
These chairs are beautiful. I was looking for something to match my grandmother's walnut mid-century modern dining table I rescued and refinished. I knew the "O" would have something to match and these chairs are perfect. In my 12'X12" dining room, the back of the chair is just tall enough to provide comfort without overpowering the table and the "cut out" area lends to the openness of the room. Love love love them and I'm sure my grandmother would approve as well! The wood is sturdy and has a beautiful finish. I recently ordered two with arms for my adjacent living room; they'll maintain perfect continuity...unfortunately, I missed them at Overstock and had to order from ***** :-( Wish I could give more than 5 stars!
