These are good basic-need knives for the price. The set did not come with a bread knife, so I purchased that separate, along with a cook's knife. It's not such a big block and appreciate not having the steak knives in it on the counter. Happy with the purchase

These knives, JA Henckels Twin Signature, are so good you can pass them down to your kids. This set is a starter set for a newlywed couple, just as I received my set. And they really love them. I like the sleek look, too.

Hello Overstock users! I recently purchased this item and am satisfied with the quality. Very sharp and the grip is very nice. However it consists of one must-have item, and others are not very useful. But !! If you get these with the block in other places it would be much expensive... Anyway.. I like it!!

The item arrived very quickly. I'm very happy with my purchase since I knew I could not go wrong with the Henckels name The chef's knife is easy to hold, not too heavy. Sharp, too, so be careful. The wooden block has some empty slots which I plan to fill with a long serrated knife and two more utility knives. Still, great value for my money. I saw the chefs knife alone somewhere else for $90.00. Thank you, Overstock.

The Twin Signature knives are everything I expected. They are oh so sharp, feel good in the hand. Have been looking at various sets for years, but didn't want to spend the regular retail prices. The 7-piece set at Overstock is a great set, and is perfectly priced. Just compare at any retail outlet. And the block has extra space for adding to the collection with individually purchased knives.

i love the quality of these knives!! the only problem with this knife set is there is only 5 knives. i bought the J.A. henkels east meets west set that has alot more pieces to supplement this knife set. the 7 piece set is of better quality so i will not return it. great brand!! great knives!! love overstock prices!!

I absolutely love these knives! I bought the set specifically to get a good Chef's knife and I am very pleased with the one that comes in this set. The quality is superb and I love the shape of the handles,too. I am a female with small/medium sized hands and the Chef's knife is just the perfect size. I also bought a magnetic wall strip to hold the knives so I don't use the block at all. The kitchen sheers are very versatile and built well, also. I did not like the sharpening steel that came with the set because it seemed to be a really rough surface and almost 'grated' the blades so I bought another and it does the trick.

I recently purchased your JA Henckels Twin Signature 7 piece Knife Block Set, I love these knives! They are so well made, a beautiful addition to my kitchen. The set arrived sooner then promised, and was as described. The set has the basic knives that I use in meal prep on a daily basis. The knives are very sharp and you cannot beat the quality of Henckels. You offered these at a great price, I could not find them any where for what you are selling them for. The Chief's knife alone is almost as much as what the entire set cost! I have made many purchases from Overstock.com over the past years, and I have always been very satisfied with the ease in shopping, the quality, and have never had a problem with the charges. I would most highly recommend this site and this set to friends and family.

I am just upset. This is my own fault. Never did I think you would get a block of knives that is almost empty!! I should have paid more attention to what I was getting. Poor choice on my part! Will go out and buy a set of knives that really are a set of knives!

I agree with so many other reviewers - it looks silly to have so many empty slots. Other than that, the knives are as I would expect from Henckels - great quality. Of course, I'll have to wait and see how they hold up.

I purchased these knives for my son. He is the primary cook for his family and had been complaining that he needed a good set of knives. I knew that Henckels has a excellent reputation and found this set. He was thrilled when he opened them on Christmas, and has used them continuously since. He loves how sharp and well balanced they are, as well as the selection of knives this set has. A great value !

JA Henckels are great knifes. They stay sharp. If you need to sharpen, use the Henckel sharpener.

This is not Henckels's A-line--I think like Wusthoff, H has gone to VG-10 steel to compete with Shun.But these stamped-blade knives are solidly built and will take a decent edge. What I appreciate is that the handles fit a big hand much better than most others. On the other hand, the somewhat short blade drop on the chef's knife means knuckle-cracking chopping. Still, for the price, these knives are a good deal.

We love this knife set! The item was exactly as I'd hoped it would be.

I compared these knives to other German knives and these were made the same way, and about half the cost - very nice.

I bought these knives as a gift for my son, but I have had Henckels knives for years and can attest to the durability. They continue to serve me well even through cooking for a family of seven with much chopping and dicing. They have not lost any of the color in the handles through all the years of washing and will hold an edge for a long time. I recommend this brand of knives for anyone who is serious about cooking. They will not disappoint you!
