I am so disappointed with this purchase. I have purchased many items from Overstock and have never felt this way. They RUST in the dishwasher! The knife set is also very light. I didn't not expect this type of quality from Henkel and if I still had the box, I would return this item. I will NOT recommend this item to anyone. Don't waste your money.

i purchased these knives, very disappointed after I noticed that they started to rust within a month of using them. All of them have some kind of rust, I always handwash then dry them. So disappointed with purchase.

I'm really disappointed in the quality of this knife set. The J.A. Henckels Fine Edge Synergy 17-piece Knife Block Set carry a name that has be known to be one of the best on the market. I haven't washed the set in the dish washer nor have I left any of the knives in water for a prolonged period of time. However, the knives are starting to show rust spots and the knife edges are starting to chip. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT purchase this set J.A. Henckel should be ashamed to associated their name with this JUNK! I wish I could return the set for a refund.

After recieving a 5 piece Henckels steak knife set from my husbands company we knew we wanted a more well rounded knife set. These knives are great all this time later, I have found that they get some small rust spots here andd there but nothing a slight scrubbing wont cure. we love these knives and used them daily and they have retained the sharpness to this day.

This seems to be missing 3 pieces.... There are 3 empty slots in the block.

A fine collection of professional quality knives. With proper care they should last a very long time.

These knives were made in china, which I wasn't expecting, but have so far been sharp, maintained their edge and I like them a lot. Arrived very quickly...can't complain about the service!

It's a nice set! The knives are good, but the block has an extra couple of empty slots... Have been looking for additional knives to add, but can't find them.

My wife and daughter love the set. Heck, I love it too!! The knives are a tremendous improvement over our previous set.

I can't recommend this item at all. While Henckels generally is a very solid knife company, this set kinda sux. I've had it for about 5 days and have only needed to use 2 knives. The paring knife already has a spot of rust on it. Returning it asap.

These knives were purchased because Henckels are such a great name in knives reknowned for their balance and ability to keep it's sharp edge.The huge bonus is the good price as well.I am more then pleased.

These are excellent knives for the price! Very sharp! (I actually have a band-aid on my finger right now from washing one of them) The handles have a very comfortable grip also!

These knives are very well made, attractive and very sharp. The block they came in had a small scratch on the front that bothers me a little bit, but I can live with it, I will probably be the only one who notices it any way. Draw backs were that there are empty slots which I wasn't prepared for and it didn't come with kitchen sheers which was a bit of a disappointment since I use them all the time. One other thing that I didn't like, was that there's barely any space between the slots so the knives touch each other, I'd prefer that there was enough space inbetween so that they didn't touch...they look as though they barely fit...it's just a personal preference I guess. I should have read the description more carefully as far as what was included in the 17 piece set, but regardless, the knives are good quality knives that I really needed.
