The stand has peeled off surface when I opened the package. I didn't care about it. And then the santoku knife got a spot of the blade rolled up. And then, two or three knives got stain... This brand was my trust one, but no more from now.

The appearance is elegant. The durability of the knives is average as they bend when cutting watermelon. The tomato knife worked quite nicely. The bread knife slices English muffins with a small amount of crumbs. Not exactly what I was looking for but I will be using them exclusively.

I wasn't expecting ALL of the knives to be serrated. Difficult to clean as they have very fine "teeth".. They cut well now, but I'm not optimistic with the a fore mentioned characteristics. Also the block is really large for the counter..sort of more horizontal than vertical if that makes sense. Not what I expected from Henckels brand at all :-(

Low quality for the brand. I was very disappointed from the time I opened the box. never finished opening up the product. Put it back and box and sent it back. It was junk

After the first wash in the diswasher they have started to show rust marks. So while they were not really expensive this is a little disappointing.

I had higher expectations from a Henckels product. I have had these knives for several months and while they are indeed inexpensive, you get what you pay for. The metal is thin and there are rust spots on them after putting them in the dishwasher a few times. They also became dull after a few uses. They looked nice enough when they arrived but the metal is far too thin to be useful in a working kitchen. I will eventually replace them with a better quality set.

very disapointed.... the block has more slots than knifes so it looks incomplet...... the knifes are not of good quality that I expected for a J.A. Henckels....

I like these knives but the block isn't the best. Mine doesn't seem to be made for this set of knives, with no spots for things like the paring knife etc. There area a bunch of larger slots so I have to put very thin knives in wide slots, and there are 3-4 extra slots in the block that I have no knives for.

the knives are great but the block is not made right.....the steak knives hang lower than the block and when I moved them on my counter they scratched the counter !! my husband cut a piece of wood and screwed it to bottom of the block so it was usable.....

I'm a little disappointed in the sharpness of these knives. They ARE beautiful. I just expected them to be much, much sharper.

I always liked JH knives and saw the awesome deal and decided to order it. I was deeply disappointed when it came. The knives were nothing like the ones I see in the stores, it is very light and feels really cheap. I also did not see that it was serated which I hate the most. I am going to try and return them and buy something else. It is good if you are only going to cut vegetables but forget about slicing raw meat with it.

Look and work great! I am so pleased. Nice contemporary looking knife set for my kitchen.

Very nice set, arrived promptly. Knives are nice and heavy, feel like good quality. Gave as a Christmas gift to a "foodie" and they loved them!

These knives rusted in under a month even with hand washing and drying. The rust is primarily on the steak knives and not on the blade but above it. There are tons of rust spots all over the knives and in such a short amount of time and with a name/brand like JA Henkles, I just expected that these knives would be usable for at least a year without issues. I'm never buying this brand again.

I've wanted a set of JA Henckels knives for a while now. I found the best price on o.co and I am not disappointed! The knives are very sharp and I get a finer dice on vegetables that with any other knives I've ever used.

My husband and I recently moved and decided to largely replace al of our home frnshings i love to cook and lwas wanted a goo knife set. Well,I love these knives. They are beautiful to look at, they are comfortable to hold and easy to grip but they are extremrly sharp so be careful. They make cutting and chopping a joy. totally happy wit h this purchase The butcher block is also nice and heavy. the set feels substantial and expensive but were not too pricy thanks to overstock ;o)

These knifes are great. I have a set and bought these for my daughter. Great product.
