While the sword looked great and was not expensive, I have an issue with the workmanship. The metal part of the scabbard came unglued, probably during shipping. I had to glue it back together before I gave it as a gift, and then warned that it might come unglued again. Also what concerned me was at some point during shipping, part of the sword handle poked through the shipping box. No damage was done, but more packing material was obviously necessary for such a heavy item. Overall the sword looks good, but keep in mind that where the metal part attached to the wood scabbard might not be glued well enough to keep it from falling off.
