Fantastic, I also own an earlier model, but this one is new and improved, much easier to remove and replace the filter. Extremely quiet, I cover the blue light with black electrical tape, it's very bright at night in a bedroom..Wish I had one for every room in the house. I just love it, especially living in the desert.

I have purchased other air purifiers, but this one is, by far, the best one I have ever found. I can actually smell the "clean air." It has a distinctive refreshing odor. This is the first time that I have witnessed this. I am in the process of purchasing more to put in each room of my entire home. Now, I know the difference between a "true" air purifier and an "air blower." Thank you, Overstock.

I bought a large unit for the common living areas and soon my heavy smoker was asking for one for his bedroom. After quality research I selected the Ionic Pro Air Purifier. The price, size and most of all the fact I did not have to buy filters for the unit are what led me to buy! He immediately commented that his room smelled like fresh spring air and what a good job the Purifier was doing. I could tell the difference in two nights we sleep much better breathing comfortably.

This is a quiet machine and based on the soot it inhales, it does work but for its size I expected more. I have another brand which is smaller and pulls out nearly twice as much stuff. However,, this brand has other shortcomings so overall, it takes a village to clean the air in this household. Overall, it's adequate but not outstanding.

It is a very life enhancing thing to have. Faithfully operates and having that remote is something you can't overrate. It DOES announce every change of whatever button action you implement by giving out a noticeably audible peeeeeep. Not intolerable just seems a wee bit emphatic.

Purchased this air cleaner for our bedroom,dogs and dust,we love this air cleaner,does a great job,and really no noise,only trouble was that bright BLUE on off lite, easy fix was we covered it with black electric tape. At night my husband said it is too bright,maybe planes will land in our bedroom! I would buy this again since it does a excellent job with no noise.

The reason I purchased this was because my room gets dusty a lot. When I used this several times the expection was that dust would be collected in the air purifier, and would just make the air more clean. I checked everytime I use it; I have owned this for several years now; and so far the machine has not collected that much that I didn't have to clean it.

My husband recently bought two very expensive famous brand pro-purifiers; they work very good but we needed another one and didn't want to spend a lot of money. After spending considerable time looking, I bought the Ionic Pro -- it really cleans the air, and very importantly, it is super quiet; so quiet, that you can't tell that it's on -- key factors in my my decision to buy this product. I would have given five stars but I've only had the product a little less than one month; also, the tower needs to be one foot away from the wall; therefore, I couldn't get it to fit perfectly in a corner. However, I certainly recommend this product.

I am pleased with this purchase. I do not find that the blue light is as distracting as other reviews have said. I do not need to cover mine in order to sleep. The unit is silent and has a nice contemporary look. My bedroom smells very nice and clean since using this product. I would recommend it.

I have had the Ionic Pro for 3 weeks now. It works really well. I live in AZ and it is very dry and dusty. I also have breathing problems. This has been very helpful for the dust. I turned it on and it is very quiet. I would recommend it to my friends. I have checked it once and it really collects the dust.

I own two cats and a ferret--I am allergic to the cats. As soon as this was turned on the "kitty tumbleweeds" of hair from the cats were drastically reduced. I used to have to vacuum every other day just to keep up with them--now I can wait 10 days. Also, the purifier is right next to our ferret, whose stench previously filled the living room. The smell has been noticably reduced. We're very happy with this product, recommended it to my sister and are considering buying one for our bedroom. In regards to the blue light, which is quite bright: that's what electrical tape is for.

I have had one of these for 3 years. I am a smoker and I clean the blades every two weeks. It's terrible to admit what I find on the blades - looks like tar - eeeew. The machine makes no noise and it does a great job. I have to use a strong degreaser type product to clean the blades. I would recommend this to anyone who is a smoker.

Pros: quiet(No fan), good appearance, and traps some dust.Cons: notice spike in power bill, not helpful for asthma or allergy sufferers, and does not trap that much dust ( no filter). It doesn't circulate the air around the room well. Do not buy if you are asthma or allergy sufferer.

It is quiet until it needs to be cleaned. About two weeks. We love it.

I purchased the ionic pro air purifier a month ago and am totally satisfied. The air quality in my apartment is clean and pure. I use to have an allergic cough and since I started uising the ionic pro air purifier I haven't coughed since. Its light and easy to move. Nice slender appearance. I haven't had to clean the filter yet, but it looks really simple and easy to do. I have recommended it to my friends who have allergies or just want some good clean air to breathe. Before I purchased the unit I checked out other purifiers and for the money this is the best deal.

NYC apartment owners *need* an air purifier. After 3 weeks I inspected the blades and sure enough lots 'o dust had been collected. Very quiet and very effective. Yes the little blue light is bright (very minor nuisance that can be remedied).

An awesome product so far...So quiet! No filters to clean! I have 3 past air purifiers, and love their purpose...but this one is the best.

Those who stated the blue light is too bright are correct. I had to put a piece of masking tape over it.
