My husband recently bought two very expensive famous brand pro-purifiers; they work very good but we needed another one and didn't want to spend a lot of money. After spending considerable time looking, I bought the Ionic Pro -- it really cleans the air, and very importantly, it is super quiet; so quiet, that you can't tell that it's on -- key factors in my my decision to buy this product. I would have given five stars but I've only had the product a little less than one month; also, the tower needs to be one foot away from the wall; therefore, I couldn't get it to fit perfectly in a corner. However, I certainly recommend this product.

I am pleased with this purchase. I do not find that the blue light is as distracting as other reviews have said. I do not need to cover mine in order to sleep. The unit is silent and has a nice contemporary look. My bedroom smells very nice and clean since using this product. I would recommend it.

I have had the Ionic Pro for 3 weeks now. It works really well. I live in AZ and it is very dry and dusty. I also have breathing problems. This has been very helpful for the dust. I turned it on and it is very quiet. I would recommend it to my friends. I have checked it once and it really collects the dust.

I own two cats and a ferret--I am allergic to the cats. As soon as this was turned on the "kitty tumbleweeds" of hair from the cats were drastically reduced. I used to have to vacuum every other day just to keep up with them--now I can wait 10 days.
Also, the purifier is right next to our ferret, whose stench previously filled the living room. The smell has been noticably reduced. We're very happy with this product, recommended it to my sister and are considering buying one for our bedroom. In regards to the blue light, which is quite bright: that's what electrical tape is for.
I have had one of these for 3 years. I am a smoker and I clean the blades every two weeks. It's terrible to admit what I find on the blades - looks like tar - eeeew. The machine makes no noise and it does a great job. I have to use a strong degreaser type product to clean the blades. I would recommend this to anyone who is a smoker.

Pros: quiet(No fan), good appearance, and traps some dust.Cons: notice spike in power bill, not helpful for asthma or allergy sufferers, and does not trap that much dust ( no filter). It doesn't circulate the air around the room well. Do not buy if you are asthma or allergy sufferer.

I purchased the ionic pro air purifier a month ago and am totally satisfied. The air quality in my apartment is clean and pure. I use to have an allergic cough and since I started uising the ionic pro air purifier I haven't coughed since. Its light and easy to move. Nice slender appearance. I haven't had to clean the filter yet, but it looks really simple and easy to do. I have recommended it to my friends who have allergies or just want some good clean air to breathe. Before I purchased the unit I checked out other purifiers and for the money this is the best deal.

NYC apartment owners *need* an air purifier. After 3 weeks I inspected the blades and sure enough lots 'o dust had been collected. Very quiet and very effective. Yes the little blue light is bright (very minor nuisance that can be remedied).

I have purchased other air purifiers, but this one is, by far, the best one I have ever found. I can actually smell the "clean air." It has a distinctive refreshing odor. This is the first time that I have witnessed this. I am in the process of purchasing more to put in each room of my entire home. Now, I know the difference between a "true" air purifier and an "air blower." Thank you, Overstock.

I do like the ionic purifiers.... I do not know how they compare to the more expensive ones. I noticed a fresher smell to the air. I am still fighting dust and dander as I have 3 dogs and a cat. I am happy with my purchase.

I read about a lot of different air purifiers before finally taking the leap to buy the Ionic Pro Air. I have two long-haired cats, and all the ultra-fine hair & dander is impossible to keep up with, especially in hot weather. What sold me on it, in addition to the positive customer reviews, was the combination of NO FILTERS and reasonable price. It runs silently, and I noticed the difference in air quality on the very first day. Not only would I recommend this product to others, but I plan to buy another for myself.

Purchased this unit in the hopes that is was as quiet and as effective as stated, extremely satisfied with the silent operation, also with the reduction in dust. It also removes cooking odors very fast. I'm always pleasantly suprised when returning home with the fresh smell my home has now thanks to the Ionic Pro. Have told everyone I know, with pets, kids, etc. about this product and about Overstock's selection and service.

The sleek look is attractive. It's easy to use. But my little Ionizer did a better of cleaning the air then this one is doing. You can actually smell the ion with the other one, but not with this one...unless you get right next to it.

I have allergies from pollen, etc. and we recently got a cat that I'm slightly allergic to. Combine the two in May and I've been miserable. We just purchased two of these units. They arrived yesterday and within a few hours of running we could already tell a difference. One is in our bedroom and when I woke up this morning I could actually breath normally for the first time in weeks. The blue light can seem quite bright in a dark bedroom but a small piece of duct or electrical tape fixes that. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
