I misunderstood the website and ordered the patchwork design unknowingly. The plain one was not in stock so we returned the item.Read More
The base that the legs are screwed on to is made with wood veneer/compressed wood and thee anchors that are in place comes off easily when you screw the legs on leaving a large gaping hole - this item is useless - do not spend your money on this - it's a waste. In addition, the description for this item is misleading. Also, you're are being charge a shipping fee for returning it - what a shame...Read More
First one I received was damaged, it broke the first day we had it. New one sent immediately and I am not sure how this one will hold up.Read More

Very nice. Leather looks good. Sanding of legs could improve. Two were smooth, other two were rough-sanded.Read More
Great looking little ottoman. Bought them before. I remove the legs and use them to help my older dogs get up on the couch and bed. They look great, but do split at the patchwork seams eventually. Of course, one of the dogs is a 120 lb. Newfoundland. Doubt if it would be a problem for smaller dogs or, heaven forbid, if they were used as ottomans as intended :-)Read More
Nicely detailed stool! I ordered the square model but received the round one. I liked the round stool better so I kept it! A very nice piece to add to your décor. Adds texture and variation to my living room. A very interesting, functional stool. Sturdy enough to sit on.Read More
This is a nice looking leather stool, but do not get it unless it is for decorative purposes only. I received it, attached the legs (easy assembly), my kid sat on it, and one of the legs broke at the base it was screwed into. All pretty much in that order and in a matter of minutes. My jaw dropped...Read More
I took a chance even with some of the negative reviews. I like this ottoman. It is just the right size. I had gotten a *** chair which is real close to the color of the dark brown. Yes, this isn't the most expensive ottoman but I was lucky and got one that didn't have the imperfections others have mentioned. It suits the purpose I need if for and looks nice in front of the chair. Perfect for tired legs.Read More

Thank you for your inquiry; you will be contacted by Customer Care.

They are: 15 in. H x 16 in. W x 16 in. D
How much does this ottoman weight? Thinking of taking one to South America to my family.
This ottoman weighs 9 lbs.
Does the top of the ottoman come off if I want to re-upholster the entire ottoman? Are the sides upholstered with 4 strips after the top has been removed or is it done with one large piece of fabric.
It is most likely one piece of fabric that has been sewn together, also the legs likely unscrew from the bottom, but I do not believe the top comes off.

Tips on Necklace Lengths
When choosing a necklace, it can sometimes be hard to choose the right length to go with your outfit. Fortunately, there are some basic guidelines. The standard chain length is 16 to 20 inches, which sits just between the base of the throat and the collarbone, for most people. And just like style, the correct length for you is based on personal taste. It's also nice to have different sizes and styles of necklaces on hand for different occasions.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
How to Decorate with a Shag Rug
Formerly a popular option for creating a psychedelic style in the '60s, shag rugs are back in a more contemporary form. Made with pile that is longer than one inch, shag rugs are incredibly soft and add depth to your home with their uneven texture. Whether it's a shag rug made from wool, cotton or leather, try using a shag rug to make a major statement in your home.
Best Styles of Booties for Evening
Ankle boots, or booties, are a versatile fashion option. They can be worn with a variety of outfits for many different occasions, from a lavish dinner at a four-star restaurant to a company party. Pick out evening-appropriate women's ankle boots that add flair and class to your outfit by following a few simple guidelines. Try embellished booties for a trendy look. Women's booties embellished with chains, big buckles, laces and buttons can work great when paired with a short skirt. The exact embellishment you choose is up to you, but no matter what, these extras will lend an edgy touch to your evening outfit. Match the color of your embellishments with the tone of your jewelry for a truly polished, put-together look. Pair women's ankle boots with tights or wear them bare-legged, depending on the formality of the occasion. While black booties tend to go with anything, you can experiment with different colors of embellished booties to give your look a boost. Booties that are a little slouchy also look great with jeans or a skirt. Leather booties look great for every occasion. Leather booties work well for a classic, chic and monochromatic look. Booties without adornments, such as buckles, bows or chains, can be patent leather (for a dressy look), suede or faux leather. Leather booties can be matte or shiny and often come in lace-up styles as well. This works best when you want your style to be understated but still want to add sophistication to your look. Coordinate your ankle boots with your outfit or pick another color to make your clothes pop. Wear them with a knee-length skirt or paired with a pair of dark jeans. You can also wear them with a tunic and thick leggings for a warmer, comfortable look. Open-toe booties are stylish and fashion-forward. If you really want to try something different, give open-toed booties a try. These will lend the most edge to your look. Pair these with a short skirt in order to make them pop. If it's cold outside, you might want to wear these open-toed booties with a pair of matching tights to stay warm. These ankle boots work well for going out to a club or rock concert, but they can also complement a party dress or a pair of jeans for a dressier event. Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
Best Types of Tile for Kitchen Countertops
Tile kitchen countertops are an affordable alternative to traditional solid stone units. Countertop tile can be made from many of the most popular materials, such as granite or quartz, yet costs just a fraction of the price. Tile countertops are also easy to install and repair, making them the perfect project for the DIY homeowner. Ceramic. Ceramic tile is made from natural clay that is baked to remove excess moisture. It is available in a wide variety of colors and designs that can be mixed and matched to any kitchen. Ceramic tile is affordable, easy to install and very low maintenance. It is also waterproof and able to withstand high temperatures from hot dishes. If you choose ceramic tile for your kitchen countertops, you should be aware that ceramic tile can crack or chip if heavy objects are dropped on it. To minimize grout stains, you can choose a dark grout and use a grout sealer to protect the seams from dirt. Mosaic. Mosaic tile comes in tiny 1-inch square units. It is often sold in large sheets that are attached to a mesh backer-board, making for easy and fast installation. These tiles can be mixed to create unique patterns and textures, and are very durable. One advantage of mosaic tiles is that they are colored all the way through, so a chip or crack will not be as visible as with ceramic tile. Granite. Granite tile is a natural stone product that is widely popular in kitchen decor. Tiles made from granite offer the beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. Granite tiles often have a mottled surface that helps to hide dirt and fingerprints and are incredibly strong and long-lasting. Like all granite products, these tiles must be sealed after installation and at least once a year for the duration of their use. Quartz. Quartz tile is a manufactured product designed to look similar to granite while offering superior performance. It is made from crushed quartz crystals pressed together with resin. Quartz tile has a smooth and uniform surface with a consistent grain. It is slightly less expensive than granite and is much more durable and long-lasting. Unlike granite, quartz tiles do not need to be sealed. They are completely nonporous, which prevents bacteria from becoming trapped in the surface. Quartz cannot be repaired as easily as granite, however, and it offers none of the natural beauty and color variation of real stone. View All Tile Back to Guides Directory View All Tile
LCD TVs vs Plasma TVs
Flat-screen TVs seem to be everywhere. For you, the choice may seem like a toss-up between plasma TVs and LCD TVs. These competing technologies each have advantages, so it's important to consider your specific needs before purchasing a flat-screen TV. If you are highly knowledgeable, you may want to consider the more technical specifications of LCD and plasma TVs. This is a fast-moving technology, so the advantages of each technology may soon even out with one another. Until then, here are some facts that may help you with the choice between plasma and LCD TV technology. Price differences. While price is important, it doesn't tell the whole story when comparing LCD and plasma. In the past, plasma TVs were slightly less expensive than LCD TVs of the same size, and the price differential became greater as the size of the television increased. The gap in price has narrowed between flat-screen technologies, though. Price is probably the least important factor, especially since you can find good deals on both plasma TVs and LCD TVs. Use. How you use your TV matters. Plasma TV screens are prone to "burn-in," a problem in which still or static images can be more or less permanently imprinted on the screen. This is of particular concern if you play video games, which tend to display static images for long periods of time in the same location on the screen. Fortunately, newer plasma TVs are less vulnerable to burn-in. If you plan to use your flat-screen TV for video games or other static images, LCD TVs may be a better choice. Environmental considerations. LCD TVs use an average of one-third to one-half as much energy as a plasma TV of the same size. The difference comes from the different lighting technologies. If you are concerned about your energy consumption, LCD is a greener choice. As technology improves, plasma TVs may improve their energy consumption. Lifespan. When early models of LCD TVs and plasma TVs were compared, LCD had the longer lifespan. But plasma technology has improved, and plasmas now boast a lifespan equal to LCDs. Most flat-screen TVs claim around a 60,000-hour lifespan. Depending on your usage, this means your flat-screen TV should last 20 years or more. The only parts of an LCD TV that wear out are the bulbs that illuminate the LCD screen. On a plasma TV, the bulbs will also go out before the screen does. Size and weight. LCD TVs are typically much lighter and less bulky than plasma TVs of the same size. Plasma TVs use glass for their screens, which is heavier and more fragile than the plastic used for LCD TVs. When mounting a large flat-screen TV on a wall, use a flat-screen TV mount and be sure that the wall can support your TV's weight. Picture. Both LCD TVs and plasma TVs produce amazing high-definition picture quality. Plasma TVs typically display blacks more clearly and show crisper detail during fast-moving programming, like sporting events. LCD TV technology is catching up, though, and LCD TVS usually offer greater native screen resolution than plasma TVs. This means more pixels per square inch, for a sharper overall picture. LCD TVs can lose picture quality when viewed at an angle. Some models do better than others on this, so be sure to do your research on any LCD TV's viewing angles.
