Thank you. Your feedback will help us create the best experience for our customers.
We were looking for panels that would help block out the cold wind and bright sunshine when needed - these not only fit the bill but exceeded what we were looking for in panels. The luxury of the fabric, richness of color, and ability to block cold has been a great addition and really sets off the tone of the room. Very nice!
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color is so deep and rich - looks like ones costing five times more
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Fabric is rich and thick, keeps the cold and bright light out, hangs beautifully and has garnered many positive comments.
How accurate was the on site description of the product? Wonderful
I got these in olive green for the window on the south wall in my dining room, to go with the 84" curtains for the French doors on the west wall. Since I already had green top-down bottom-up cellular shades on them, I was worried that the colors might clash. Thank goodness they didn't and actually complement each other, and provide a lovely view as the green continues from inside to the greenery outside.
Meanwhile, although both the window and the French doors in my dining room are only 5 months old (Milgard with their highest energy-saving ratings), the hot afternoon sun here in San Diego can still heat up the west-facing doors even with the cellular shades fully drawn. Now that I have these curtains up, the room stays positively cool which is a real blessing (and I don't even have AC 'cos I'm close enough to the coast). And oh, since the sun never hits both walls at the same time, I'm still able to keep the window curtains (or the French door curtains) open thereby letting in plenty of light.
As other customers had pointed out, it really does pay to follow the manufacturer's recommendation to put the curtains in a dryer first to take the creases out. I would, however, suggest an almost WET towel (or two, depending on how many panels you have) instead of a damp one, as I found out first-hand.
One caveat: while the darker colors DO block out light very well (such as cardinal red and olive green), the beige does NOT - unless you have bona-fide black-out shades underneath (as I do in my music room).
All in all, an excellent product especially if you know what you want it for...
Last Summer, the sun was blazing in my livingroom. Now, my livingroom is cool, comfortable, and my a/c doesn't have to struggle to keep up. Sleek and beautiful, the perfect color, and sturdy materials makes these curtains the best choice for easy relief from the heat.
From outside the house at night, you can't even tell if the lights in this room are on or not. Bought another supposedly light blocking set of curtains earlier from an eBay dealer and they weren't any better than a standard set of heavier curtains. THESE blackout curtains really are! Used to have trouble viewing the screen on the television with the light streaming in, but not any more.
I bought these to put under my regular drapes for winter. I use them in place of my sheers and they are great at keeping out drafts. These are well made curtains that would work fine alone and I like the back tab that you can use if you choose. Good product for the price. Much nicer quality than a pair that a bought at a local shop. I now use these at every window in the house during the winter. I just put them on a tension rod behind my regular drapes, during the day they get pushed aside to let the sun shine in, and at night with the drapes closed you can't even tell they are there except no more drafts coming off the windows.
If my rod is 52 inches wide, with 2 inches on each side for a total of 56 inches altogether, what width drape would you suggest, and is that available in a blackout rod pocket? I would prefer 63 inches long, but could make do with 72 or 84.cyntcha on Jun 14, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello cyntcha, Each panel is 52 inches wide, so one of these panels would fit well on a 56 inch rod! Thank you for shopping with us! overstockcustomercare1 on Jun 27, 2014
