We bought the used trailer less a matress and were using an air matress. The platform lifts for storage so we needed something that would lift for access. This was ideal weight and yet gave this 250 lb. body a good night sleep I could not attain with the air matress.Read More
I love this mattress! It was everything as described and more. It is really firm but having had a memory foam mattress for 15 years, they do soften up some with use. It's an incredible value for the money. I bought this for a vintage trailer I am restoring. I can't wait to sleep on it!!!Read More
If you are stuck like I was- needing an RV mattress for a full size space, this is a low profile mattress that works. After sleeping on it I believe it is as firm as you can get without sleeping on the floor. You'll wake up stiff but no kinks. As for 5.5"- they must be counting the bead that sticks up around the edge where the top is attached to the sides. The cover is very bold and I recommend dark sheets to cover it as it will show through any of the medium to light sheets. I had read the previous reviews and was excited about this since the air mattress was not working. I am not sure if there is a quality control issue here as the mattress cover is described as a nice damask in one of the reviews and that is what sold me on it. Not so. All in all it still beats that air mattress so I would buy it again- or maybe something like it a little plusher.Read More
We selected this mattress to go on an iron bed on our screened porch - we wanted something that would work in a humid environment and would drain if it got wet (the jury is still out on that part, but I plan to buy a waterproof cover for it). Because we did not want to put a box spring on the porch, we paired it with a slatted bed foundation from IKEA (Sultan Luroy - the slats are close together and arched to help absorb the weight of the user). I don't know if it's the foam or the slats, or the combination of both, but it's very comfortable so far. Another reason I selected this mattress is that I HATE exposing my family to flame retardants (which I personally think are more dangerous on a day-to-day basis than the low probability of being in a fire). When I was looking at mattresses for bunkbeds vs. RV's, from the same manufacturer, the RV mattresses clearly said they were not allowed for use in a home. My theory is that they aren't sprayed with a bunch of unnecessary chemicals. I don't know if I am correct, but this was the reason I selected this mattress over the same style/material in a bunkbed mattress. When we unpacked it, it did not smell at all. I think this mattress is probably a little thinner than advertised (closer to 4-5"). It is very lightweight. It was a good buy, and I'm glad I didn't pay $100 more for the 8" version.Read More
Item purchased for full/twin toddler trundle. We also purchased gel topper and has transformed a reasonably priced mattress into a cloud. Our daughter is so comfortable and loves her new bed!Read More
Arrived on time. Mattress is good quality, but not 6 inches thick. Would consider ordering a thicker pad, if ordering again.Read More
The price seems fair and the shipping went well. I received it two days ago. The product looks good, but I have not yet slept on it, since the instructions say it will expand to it's full size in 24 to 48 hours, and so far it is just shy of 5" thick. ( it is advertised to be 6".) Also it has an odor, so I have it out in the sun hoping that the smell will dissipate.Read More

Tips on Buying Foam Mattresses
Improving your mood can be as easy as investing in a memory foam mattress. These supportive mattresses cradle the body, alleviating the tossing and turning that keep you from getting a full night of sleep. You may not realize just how much interrupted sleep is costing you. If you find yourself feeling tired and drained even after getting eight hours of rest, it's time to look into purchasing a foam mattress. Before you start shopping, consider these tips on buying foam mattresses.
There are basically three common types of mattresses used today: spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, inflatable mattresses and feather beds. Each type has its own benefits. A mattress pad is a less expensive way to add comfort to your bed than purchasing a whole new mattress. With that said, if your mattress is lumpy or saggy, a mattress topper probably won't make much difference. If it is good, though, you have many different choices in material, price, and comfort. Whatever you get, just make sure you purchase the right size for your bed frame. Take a look below to learn more about the best-selling mattresses on the market.

Choosing the Right Density for Your Memory Foam Mattress

Unique Ways to Use a Memory Foam Mattress Topper
In recent years, memory foam mattress toppers have become a staple in bedrooms everywhere. They provide support for back-pain sufferers and instantly upgrade an old mattress, but memory foam can also serve different purposes. These unique ideas will show you how to transform an old memory foam mattress topper into something completely new.
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses
