I've only had the trash can for 3 months and the lid hinge broke. It cannot be repaired and required to buy another lid for $50. I'm not going to spend another $50 after just 3 months of use. I think it is defective in the workmanship and should be exchanged for free. But the manufacturer refused to do so. Do not buy this trash can.
This is a great trash can especially if you don't like touching your trash can or your both hands are full of stuff to throw out. They should have made the trash bag holder out of metal instead of plastic. The only other thing is the trash can is a little too narrow; it should be wider to fit bigger items.
