Indoor/ Outdoor St. Martin Natural/ Red Rug (6'7 x 9'6)

Purchased this rug and the padding one day and then three days later it was at my front door! Can't ask much better than that! We are using this rug in our dining room. As in the past, we have had wonderful transactions with Overstock.com. I did purchase the pad that goes on hardwood floors to go with the rug. That way, both the carpet and floors are protected. Only issue I have is the background of the rug is m ore neutral/gray and not the beige color as shown.

The background color is not gold as it appears in the picture on line - it is beige, as stated in previous reviews. The red is not bright red or burgandy, but more of a brick or barn red, which was perfect for me. There was one little flaw, but I was able to pull the red threads through the back of the beige portion so it didn't show. Without the flaw, I would have given it 5 stars. While I was searching, I saw this exact rug at several other sites for more than double the price of Overstock.com. It certainly doesn't look line a high end, handmade rug, but it is soft underfoot and works well indoors with children and/or pets. Cleans up well with just water.

I bought this for my basement which can be damp at times. I have had it for about a month and so far so good.

I agree with the other reviewers that the product looked great and felt great upon receipt. I have had it outdoors on my deck for 4 months however, and it is completely disintegrating. The polypropylene has broken down and is just falling apart. Yes, it has been exposed to sun & rain, but the description said it was designed to be durable in these conditions. Besides lots of fibers under and around the fabric & fraying, when I walk across it in my bare feet they come away covered in dusty, chalky feeling fibers. This carpet will never make it to next season & I'll have to dispose of it at the end of this summer. Expensive for a one season carpet!
