  • But what does the fire look like??

The package arrived 3 days after purchasing, the box was a little dinged, but everything inside was unharmed. It went together in less than an hour. But what's the fire look like??? That was my main concern with purchasing an electric heater. I really wanted the gel fuel type, but decided the fuel would get too pricey and decided to go with this kind, all the while skeptical of what the flames would look like. I think they look pretty good! I've seen some that look terrible, but this has a nice orange yellow glow, looks like some real flickering at the tops, and the ability to turn down the brightness of the flames and log with 5 levels for each is nice. I tool a video and wanted to attach it, but can't. In short, I'm pleased!

It took me forever to put together all the pieces, but once I completed it, was very pleased with the final product.

  • Beautiful addition to our home

I looked at several styles and colors of media fireplaces before ordering this one, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. It looks great and makes my living room so cozy and inviting. My son put this together in about an hour using a Phillips head screwdriver (the only tool required) and a drill (only needed as a convenience if you don't want to take the time to screw everything in by hand). We were missing the back center piece; Overstock said they'd get this shipped out right away. Luckily that particular piece is needed only for looks and didn't prevent us from assembling and using the fireplace in the meantime. The specifications in the instructions varied from what is noted online; the instructions say the fireplace can accommodate a TV up to 38" wide and up to 65 lbs. My TV is 50" wide and fits fine with no overhang.

One of my favorite purchases on Overstock...it's just beautiful. I purchased for my bedroom and I love the way it looks. It gets toasty in a hurry and would probably be best for a larger room like 1000 sq feet or more because it can heat up a space very quickly. Luckily, it has a control to keep the fire on and turn the heat off so I can enjoy the look of the place when no heat is needed. It has various control options, thermostat, flame size...etc. It was a chore to put together as it comes in several pieces but trust me it's worth it. The color is true to the picture, a beautiful rich mahogany.
