I absolutely love this piece and so does everyone I have shown it to. I have a wall in my den that is painted Hydrangea Blue and I am separating the screen into three sections and hanging in on that wall. It is beautiful and the centerpiece of the room.

I purchased this to be on the wall of my new kitchen that is 500 sqft. It is lovely and perfect for the space I needed it for. It is JUST like they all say, easy to put on the wall right out of the box. My husband put it up as he would have put up a picture. Look for the studs and wha la! (We only had one stud). The screws they provided for the drywall were a perfect fit. We are using tea lights on it right now for ambience as the fuel cans were back ordered, but can't wait to get them. It is a little darker and not as shiny as the picture. Almost cinnamon in color. We wanted to pop this color into our all blue/light blue, stainless with blue pearl granite kitchen. It really is awesome and people are really surprised when they see it. It really isn't a popularly seen item in most homes. It really is a great piece of "art". Can't wait to get the fuel gel!! Just ordered it.

The fireplace is great. We are using it in our living room as well as our patio. While using it inside, there is a slight odor to it but nothing offensive. The living room is not very large so the heat this unit puts off has been sufficient to prevent the need for the furnace. We use the ceiling fan on low to circulate the heat and it seems to work well. Of course we live in Texas so it never gets that cold here. The only negativity I have is towards the gel fuel but that has no reflection on the quality of the product I am reviewing here. I just wish there was a little larger yellow flame and a little less blue flame, but that's it. I found a formula to make my own gel fuel so I will play with the mixture to see if I can achieve what I am after. The unit itself though, we LOVE. I am very pleased with this purchase and feel that it was well worth the money.

The cans should last 3-4 hours and for me they last 2 at most and the fire they produce is not much yellow and mostly blue. I like the yellow fire for visual purposes and it just isn't there. I have had to resort to making my own gel fuel because of the expense and inferior quality. The cans were all dented for some reason also. A couple of the cans had evaporated out and were only full of a scant amount of fuel and dried residue. The cans also only burn to half level and then need to be combined to continue burning. It is a large bother to do this when all you want is to enjoy a nice fire.

5 stars. I was very impressed with the overall quality. It looks really nice and it is a solid piece of furniture. It took me about an hour to assemble and everything fit together very nicely. I have it in our master bedroom and it heats that room to a very comfortable level in a short period of time. If I had one complaint it would be that the heater and fake fireplace is just a little bit noisy but it's nothing that would stop me from purchasing another one.

Others tend toward the country cottage look of cheery primary colors set against white accents. The French country look has a more subdued effect, combining faded cornflower blue, sage green, mustard or antique white with black accents.
