What you see is what you got...
Nice-looking chair, easy to construct. Appears to be very solid, durability should not be an issue. Will probably need to be treated with teak or tung oil on a yearly basis to maintain patina. Have yet to see evidence of running/staining after a few heavy rainfalls, but one should prepare for that issue regardless.Not especially comfortable to sit on, seat is flat and very hard, with no contouring. Finding a pillow it fit this chair may prove difficult, as it has a relatively small seating area and is not a standard size. If you're trying to get to a certain look, then these chairs should prove to be a good value in terms of appearance and presumed durability. If comfort is an overriding factor, then you may want to look elsewhere.

Perfect for outside bar
We absolutely love the bar stools. We purchased eight of them for an outside bar we built. They look great, they are sturdy and for not having padding, very comfortable. We definitely made the right choice without spending a fortune. As a note, this review is being written soon after we received them, so I'm not sure of the durability in years to come, but I'm confident with the right maintenance they will hold up.

Well built, sturdy barstool
The barstools are working great outside on my patio. The barstools are heavy weight, are visibly high quality and they stand up well to the Texas 100+ degree daily summer weather. I ordered 4 of them and they upgraded the look of my patio. The design is pretty up-right and straight, so there may be more comfortable seats, but these stools are great for a snack bar and I recommend them.

great looking bar stool, fits my use completely, bought 3 and everyone loves them as well!

Great Value
They are very sturdy and we plan to use them outdoors all year in Palm Springs, CA. We are wondering how they will hold up in the heat but so far the wood and finish seem high quality. We used a Watco stain on them to darken the wood a bit and protect it. They might be considered just a little top-heavy. The seat and back are heavy and the height adds to the potential for tipping but for us is no problem. They were easy assembly but recommend you use gloves if you want to avoid blisters. There are quite a few allen type bolts that go in very tightly. Overall a very good value though.
