The stools are good height and color as expected. Sturdy enough for very lightweight use. The seat coverings look very cheap, though, and the padding is low quality. After about 3 minutes, it's like sitting on hard wood. The Allen wrench supplied for assembly wasn't good enough to last through assembling one stool, let alone two. Had to go to the hardware store before I could finish putting them together. Disappointed for sure. But, after the work of putting them together, it wasn't worth the hassle of taking them apart to ship back.Read More
These stools are cheap but not very durable. We have fixed them several times since we bought them. The top cover falls off about every six months.Read More

these stools were just what we were looking for to go with our breakfast nook.... the style was great the cushions are great quality and everything went together and lined up perfectly. This was a great deal.Read More
The overall appearance is very nice, however, the quality it not the best. The stools wobble and in my opinion are not safe. A bargain for sure, but, I do not feel trading off safety is worth the savings. I am searching for another set of stools for my lunch bar.Read More
I was disappointed in these stools for several reasons: 1) They are 24 inches tall (counter-height), but the cushion sinks down so much that they are too low for my counters. I feel like a kid sitting on them because the countertop now hits me mid-chest. 2) The way the cross supports are designed, you have to have the stools facing a certain direction to rest your feet. 3) The cross supports are thin with sharp edges (as opposed to round supports); they do not seem solid and strong. They seem cheaply made. 4) On reading other reviews before my purchase, one reviewer said the cushions weren't soft enough; another said they were very soft. I will break the tie: they are not soft. I needed four stools, but I ordered a set of two, thinking that if I liked them, I would order two more. I will not be ordering two more. In fact, they will probably end up in a yard sale once I find replacements.Read More
I was really disappointed with the quality of the stools. 2 sides of the stool legs were actually broken and the wood on the seat was also missing a chunk! I should have bought a more expensive/quality product especially when it comes to bar stools. The old saying..."you get what you pay for", that definitely applies to these bar stools. I was looking for a good deal and ended up with cheaply made, broken stools. They are going back!!!!!Read More
I wanted 3 stools for my counter, so I ordered two sets. My husband is not very handy, but he had no trouble putting them together. Our grandchildren loved them and they can now sit at our counter. I liked the fact that in the future I can recover them if I so choose. They are very sturdy and sharp looking.Read More

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
A History of Electric Light
On September 4, 1882, one square mile of lower Manhattan was aglow with light as the first commercial power station went into operation. Thanks to Thomas Edison's brilliance, for about 24 cents per kilowatt hour, 59 customers were provided with lights and electricity at night. By the late 1880s, the demand for that service had grown so much that small power stations could be found in many U.S. and European cities. We're still amazed by all the practical and aesthetic possibilities offered by lighting.

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
Best Types of Tile for Kitchen Countertops
Tile kitchen countertops are an affordable alternative to traditional solid stone units. Countertop tile can be made from many of the most popular materials, such as granite or quartz, yet costs just a fraction of the price. Tile countertops are also easy to install and repair, making them the perfect project for the DIY homeowner. Shop Tiles ▸ Ceramic.Ceramic tile is made from natural clay that is baked to remove excess moisture. It is available in a wide variety of colors and designs that can be mixed and matched to any kitchen. Ceramic tile is affordable, easy to install and very low maintenance. It is also waterproof and able to withstand high temperatures from hot dishes. If you choose ceramic tile for your kitchen countertops, you should be aware that ceramic tile can crack or chip if heavy objects are dropped on it. To minimize grout stains, you can choose a dark grout and use a grout sealer to protect the seams from dirt. Mosaic.Mosaic tile comes in tiny 1-inch square units. It is often sold in large sheets that are attached to a mesh backer-board, making for easy and fast installation. These tiles can be mixed to create unique patterns and textures, and are very durable. One advantage of mosaic tiles is that they are colored all the way through, so a chip or crack will not be as visible as with ceramic tile. Granite.Granite tile is a natural stone product that is widely popular in kitchen decor. Tiles made from granite offer the beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. Granite tiles often have a mottled surface that helps to hide dirt and fingerprints and are incredibly strong and long-lasting. Like all granite products, these tiles must be sealed after installation and at least once a year for the duration of their use. Quartz.Quartz tile is a manufactured product designed to look similar to granite while offering superior performance. It is made from crushed quartz crystals pressed together with resin. Quartz tile has a smooth and uniform surface with a consistent grain. It is slightly less expensive than granite and is much more durable and long-lasting. Unlike granite, quartz tiles do not need to be sealed. They are completely nonporous, which prevents bacteria from becoming trapped in the surface. Quartz cannot be repaired as easily as granite, however, and it offers none of the natural beauty and color variation of real stone. Shop Tiles See All Guides
