we had an older Breville juicer which is a nice juicer, but was very loud and had huge components which were hard to clean. We spotted the Hurom Slow Juicer at william sonoma and bought from overstock and are really happy we did so. The main advantages of the Hurom are that 1) its quiet (we can use it while the baby sleeps) and 2) its very easy to clean, with very small components. There's also the side benefit of the slow juicing process which creates less heat and thus preserves more of the nutrients in whatever you are juicing. We now juice kale, cabbage, broccoli and other previous hard-to-juice items. Its also just kind of fun to juice with the Hurom, rather than sounding like a vacuum cleaner it emits a soft, low humming noise while the press rotates slowly but heavily in circles - you just put stuff in and it crushes it to extract the juice, kind of like if you were using a manual orange juicer. The process is quite fast, and the resulting juice tastes great.

I just bought the Hurom slow juicer and am thoroughly enjoying it. I have used other juicers that makes loud noises and I like the Huron the best. Not only slow its very quiet. One feature that works great is that it pulls the veggies into the juicer so less work for me. Also the pulp is dryer which means more juice and it doesn't take that long to clean. There isn't a perfect product out there but this juicer sure does a great job.
