I love this fan, now that I have it up.I had a few things that I had to work on to get my ceiling ready and had noticed that the hanger assembly didn't look like what was shown in the book. I contacted Hunter and after sending them some pictures, they said that the piece shown in the book had been discontinued. It was a piece that the ball slipped into so you could easily wire it the fan and have it up before putting the canopy up. The ball resting in the canopy was the only solution - the canopy did hook onto the ceiling piece so was able to wire it but inserting the canopy into the slots on the ceiling piece with all of the weight of the fan was not an easy job. It took two of us, then didn't work once we had it up. It turned out that one of the wires had pulled loose while we were struggling to get it up there, so had to do that twice (though we did better the second time). But it is a beautiful fan...
Great fan! More than we expected. Quiet, stylish. Love the remote. We ended up getting an extension rod because our ceilings are higher, was surprised it didn't come w/one.
